Me too! When I get extra impatient I try to remind myself that Chicago is an hour behind my time zone. That doesn't really help much though. :whistle:

Anybody heard from the University of Illinois-Chicago? I spoke with someone from the department last week and she said that invites would be going out soon, as interviews will be at the end of February.....congrats to everyone who has received interviews and best of luck!
 
I'm wondering if anyone is driving to UMass Amherst and would consider giving me (and others?) a ride to Springfield or beyond on 2/12.

So true. I got waitlisted at DePaul last year and was heartbroken. Now I realize that it was for the better. I'm at a program with an even better fit.

Alright, so my friend who also applied to DePaul just called them about interview invites, and they told her they'd be going out "Later this week."

I'm also still waiting for UIC! It's one of my top choices...
 
I got a call today from my POI for an interview for their Clinical PhD program. Interview is on 2/18.

Does anyone out there have any idea if Yeshiva Ferkauf Clinical Health PhD is done extending invites? I know that last year invites took quite a bit of time and that there has been some chatter on this thread about the PsyD invites, but does anyone know anything about the PhD program, in terms of invites?

I got that email from UAB too - they're really taking it down to the wire this year! I wonder if they got hit by the same ice and snow that slowed down GSU.
 
So I saw on gradcafe that IIT sent out invites to an interview in March via "group email." However, my prof emailed me 2 days ago asking for my transcripts (apparently SOMEHOW they got lost!). I emailed a PDF and am sending it via snail mail, but I don't know how to take this? Does group email mean "this is it?"

I got the email from IIT too, about the March 4 date. Given how far off that is I would think there is a good chance they may still invite more people. I'm not sure others would do this, but it probably wouldn't hurt to email and ask the prof. You could just email under the pretense of making sure they received the requested documents, and asking when you can expect to hear about interviews.

I heard back from my POI at UVM today and they have finished extending invites according to him. I got a phone interview but apparently was not charming enough to get an in person invite. 🙁

I called yesterday and ferkauf phd is still extending invites. They said they'll be doing this until 2nd week of February.
 
For those of you who have already received interviews at Suffolk, can you interview on either 2/18 or 2/19 or does the interview consist of both days? Thanks!
 
I just got an email from my POI at one of my schools who I did a pre-interview phone call with a few weeks ago, saying that although he can't invite me for an interview at the moment, my application is still being considered, and asking where I am in the process...

That's just enough hope to keep me hanging on, anxious at the edge of my seat. 😱 And is that little more than a fishing expedition on his part?

I believe it's *sort of* a weekend event. They will be assigning us interview times on either the 18th or 19th with our POIs based upon their scheduling and availability. I think they said they'd email us our schedule by the 8th so we'd know which day we're interviewing on and can make travel arrangements.

he's probably got you on his runner-ups list- there's only so many people you can interview in one day. so if the one of the interviewees don't work out, or RSVP no, I think you're very likely to get an interview.

soooo just got an email from penn state saying that they couldn't find a host for me 2/11 and 2/12 which means i have to get a hotel/motel. anyone going who wants to split a room? i'm broke as a joke! 😱

alternatively, anyone on here know anyone who goes to penn/lives in state college and will let me crash on their floor? i'm an awesome guest! 😎

If no one here can help, try couchsurfing.com! As long as you check references, it is as safe as staying with someone you met online can be. That's how I traveled through Europe, and how I will do my interviews as well, if a student can't host me. Also, did you apply to clinical or counseling psych?

Invite via mass email from LA Tech's Counseling Psych. Interviews on Feb 18-19th (pick date) with social event Friday night.

i applied to cincinnati and have heard nothing. sounds like we might have similar interests (health), if you wanna PM me where else you applied/heard from maybe we'll have more info for each other?

Such a sad post! Don't give up! It seems like schools took their sweet time this year. Things are very slowly rolling in. I would inquire with your POI's at your top schools just to ease the nerves. I have done that in the past and did it again this year.

Keep your head up! Like I said I've been rejected by over 20 programs in past years.
 
I was hoping this week would be a big week for invites. Why is there crickets chirping on here...and in my email....and on my phone? UGH!

Anyone heard from north carolina greensboro or georgia state?

I completely agree!! This week feels like it's dragging by. There are a bunch of my schools that nobody on here or grad cafe has heard from yet, even schools that last year sent out invites much earlier. I guess it goes to show you that you can't always rely on last years schedule, but I still wish they would hurry up 😀

After 4 long weeks of being a stressed out, sobbing mess. I finally have received my first interview invite, actually, two invites - less than 24 hours apart from one another .:soexcited:

I received an invite from my POI at the University of Wyoming (interview 2/27-28) via phone call yesterday evening, and was just invited to Bowling Green State's interview (2/25) via mass email.

So, for those of you still waiting to hear back, don't give up hope yet! And good luck to everyone!:xf:
 
Yeaaah... North Carolina Greensoboro... what's the deal with them? Seems like the uncertainty about this has been going on for quite a while now.

i'm blaming my still empty inbox and ringless phone on the snow. most of my schools are in the NE (even though most people have heard from someone at them), so that's a legitimate excuse, right?
 
STILL on pins and needles for DePaul! Has anyone heard from Marquette's clinical program? I'm seriously considering that I might need to do a masters first now 🙁
 
I thought about calling today to ask when they were planning on sending out invites..because I have another interview scheduled for that weekend and I'm really interested in their program, but I figured it really wouldn't make anything go faster.

I kept telling myself I'd probably hear from my schools by the end of this week, but it doesn't look like it :boom:
