Was the Rutgers (Clinical PsyD) interview invite a mass email, or personalized? Can I still hope that they might send some out tomorrow as well...?
I heard that it was a mass email. I am also hoping for some more tomorrow 🙁
I highly doubt it though..
Dynamic, I just received an email from them last week about interviewing on 02/25.
Congrats! I didn't hear anything from them although I'm still holding out hope! Still, 1 out of 2 invites for my top two schools isn't too terrible 🙂
For the Rutgers Clinical PsyD interview, there will be a pre-interview dinner with current students on Sunday 2/27. You'll be getting an email about it in a few days but I wanted to give everyone a heads up so you can factor it into your travel plans. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Hi, i received a mail today from the director of admissions of Yeshiva university that they will be extending invites for few more days- she wasn't specific about the final date though. I got this mail as a response to my query of application status. Hope this helps!!! Best Wishes!! 🙂

btw, do all schools eventually send rejection letters if you haven't heard from them, or do they just leave you hanging forever even when you know others have not only been interviewed, but accepted as well.....

It is all about match and connection. If you make it past the original sorting by GRE and GPA then someone reads your P Statement. Also if they know detect that you applied as a safety...why except someone who most likely wont come?
Oh thanks! Wow, didn't know that. Hmm, I live in Jersey, about 2 hours from the school and was just going to take the train early that Monday but maybe I'll have to spend the night Sunday then if I can get cheap accommodations.
Oh and for everyone that asked, I believe the Rutgers PsyD email was a mass one since it was addressed Dear applicant, not personalized like the individual ones I have gotten. Sorry 🙁
Did anybody get an invite to the WVU Clinical program (you can PM if you prefer)? I see that the Clinical Child is on the main list, but not just Clinical. Wondering if those invites have gone out...😕

I heard from them yesterday--that was me on GradCafe. They are reviewing apps on a rolling basis, so don't worry yet! 🙂
They are, indeed, finished interview invites for Rutgers PsyD...ah well...at least I sitll have other schools holding out for me 🙂
Wondering this too. Someone posted on gradcafe that interviews were on 2/11, but there's a slight chance that they interviewed by lab instead of doing a big interview day for the whole program, so I haven't totally given up hope. I've given up, like, 98% of my hope though. Does anybody know?

Okay, so i know that the open house interview for st. john's has nothing to do with the interview invites, but as an applicant, I am really concerned that I haven't heard a peep from St. Johns about it AT ALL (no emails or phone calls, as the rest of you have been receiving). This makes me concerned that perhaps they didn't receive my application and/or documents or something....I know with St. Johns they wanted you to send it to a PO Box in Massachusetts. I sent some of my docs to the campus (which the dept has confirmed that they've recevied) and half to the PO box (which hasn't been confirmed by anyone with the school, but according to the US post office package tracker, it was received at the PO box).
Should I call grad admin again and ask why I am not hearing anything about open house invites? I dont know if there is a connection to that and to problems with missing documents/application...
I actually fedex-ed my materials and I called to find out the actual address. The lady said, "oh just send it to the PO box in Mass." This struck me as odd but I pointed out that fedex won't deliver to a PO box anyway. So she gave me the address but I just thought that sounded really bizarre. She did say that I guess the place in Mass coordinates all their applications.
I just got my first acceptance 😀 It definitely makes the rest of this process a little less stressful!

For anyone still waiting to hear from UNM... I called (again) and they have still not finished reviewing applications for the clinical psych program. However, I was told that interviews will take place the weekend of 3/4. Best of luck to all 🙂

Has anyone here interviewed at UTSW before and can tell me what to expect from interview day? Any insight into types of interviews (individual or with multiple people/ interviewers) or what types of "group activities" there will be would be greatly appreciated!

I just got a call today. Does anyone know much about their program? I talked to a girl at Kent State who interviewed at Hofstra and had a terrible experience.

Apparently they were completely unhelpful in terms of telling her how to get there, where to go once she arrived, etc. No housing offered, either. She didn't get to meet with the professor she applied to, and they grilled her on how she planned to fund her education because they basically had no funding.
This was also 4-5 years ago, so I'm hoping things have changed since then.
Okay, well 4-5 years ago could be a big difference (I hope! 🙂) ....I did realize that they don't fund you...are you also interviewing there?
Yeah, just got the call today. So there's definitely no funding? I don't know much about the program itself, just about the guy I want to work with.
Other than that, I had an interview at Kent State and have one at LSU next weekend.

Most Canadian universities are just starting to send out their invites. The only schools I know for sure people have heard from in clinical psych are Ryerson, York, and Concordia.
Has anyone heard from Harvard Clinical psych? There's only one post on thegradcafe.com results list and that is from the beginning of January. It was my hail mary pass but I secretly keep hoping I'll be accepted.
I have not interviewed at UTSW, but I talked to someone briefly who interviewed with them 3 years ago. She mentioned a lot of group interviews. Of course I have no idea if this is still the case, but I guess you might expect at least some interviews with multiple people. Congrats on your interview and good luck.
Congratulations on your interview invite! I am currently a first year student in IUP's PsyD program, busily working to set up all your interview dinners on short notice! =]
Anyway, if you have any questions about the interview process/where to stay out here/etc, please feel free to message me. Students in the program will be more than happy to answer all the questions you have at dinner the night before your interview.

If you can, definitely go to the pre-interview dinner. It is a great way to learn more about the program and meet many of the grad students. Helps with pre-interview jitters too.🙂
When is the interview? I got an e-mail from St. John's yesterday saying they didn't have my official transcript (but then they ended up finding it, lol)... so I wonder if I have no chance since they just completed my application (even though when I called over a month ago they said my app was complete... frustrating)
