Btw, does Temple reject people in waves or just hold onto your application until they run out of interview spots? 😕
 
Anyone else interviewing December 10th? My train gets in at like 9:30 so I'll have nothing to do till 10:45 if you wanna hang.
 
Anyone know when temple meets next? I interviewed last week.
 
They told my interview day that the adcom regularly meets on Fridays. They didn't meet for much of November (except for the 19th), though, and I don't believe they met on Black Friday, either. They said they would be meeting regularly again in December, but I really doubt they'll be meeting on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, which are Fridays this year. So you've probably got two more meetings to hear back from them this year. That said, I wouldn't count yourself out if you don't here ON that Friday. For the adcom that met on November 19th, they waited until the day before Thanksgiving to send out acceptances, as a little treat. 🙂

Anyone receive an interview invite recently? Been complete since 8/12/10 and haven't heard a peep......
 
Another week of staring at that interview complete status and empty inbox for news of what i'm going to be doing for the rest of my life. How about an early christmas present temple. Or an on time Hanukkah.

I don't post on here much, but I just wanted to say I'm in the same boat. Interviewed 10/28 and still at Interview Complete. Ugh.

on my interview day, they made it sound like everyone who interviewed in november would hear before christmas time.. so hopefully this coming friday we'll be hearing something good! :xf:

I'm hoping you all aren't left hanging into the new year. I wouldn't put it past Temple to wait to inform you guys until as close to Christmas as they can, though, like they did to a lot of us for Thanksgiving. It is both evil and nice of them.

There were status updates on a wednesday afternoon two weeks ago so maybe there will be good news today so I can shave the waiting to hear back from Temple beard I grew since 11/19 adcom meeting. Its bushy

Awesome, I am pretty certain Temple is my final decision too 🙂 You don't happen to be one of the St.Luke folks, do you?

I'm pretty sure Temple interviews all the way through April. They are definitely not finished inviting.

Thank you! I'm preeeeeetty sure Temple is where I'm going to end up, but not certain. I'm also on the HPWL at Jefferson, which I also liked. If I get off that WL I'll probably go to second look for both schools and it'll also come down to the financial aide package as well (though I already expect Temple's will be better than Jefferson's), but I'm definitely leaning towards Owl-dom.
 
Today has to be the day i get a status change. Nobody posted anything from last friday's adcom. Its been 7 weeks since my interview. I'm like a dog sitting at the edge of temple's table. Maybe today they will throw me a steak. :xf::luck::xf:
 
Quizzy-O, if you don't get an update today I really think you should call them on Monday. next Friday is probably their last adcom meeting for the year and there is NO reason you should have to wait until January when you interviewed in October.

Thanks. I will call them monday if i don't get a status change. You are nice online as you were on the interview day.
 
Has anyone who interviewed at St. Luke's on 11/9 heard anything and/or gotten a status update?

This waiting game is killing me...:bang:
 
i just recently interviewed at Temple, and they said the committee did not meet this week (aka today).
The next time the committee is meeting is on Friday the 17th
I thought that tidbit of info might be helpful to someone

I interviewed today and heard the same thing. They also mentioned that if you don't find out before the holidays then you probably will not hear from them until mid to late January at the earliest.

Watch. No one's going to hear anything on Friday. They'll wait to update everyone's status/send out emails until probably 2 days before Christmas. Sucks that everyone has to wait longer, though.

I'm sorry CaliforniaAppli, but the WL supposedly gets a LOT of movement! Don't count yourself out. 🙂
 
Just from my experience though, just because they don't meet that day doesn't mean there won't be a status update. I found out about my acceptance on a Friday that they weren't meeting.

So I'd say for everyone to just try really hard to relax and not think about it and whether or not this may be the big Friday or not. I found that it just stressed me out over nothing, especially since I was reading about people getting acceptances that interviewed after me!

Haha, keep me updated. i am favoring Temple a lot, since one of my best friends goes there and already has some great contacts for me; and I loved my stay there.

However, I am still in the running from some really high ranked schools. Don't know if my family will let me ... sigh for being a dependent

Does anyone know when the deadline is to submit all the information they requested after acceptance? (excluding the deposit money)

I actually got the e-mail the day before Thanksgiving, but I haven't been on SDN in a while. You should all try it sometime; it feels good. Temple is my only acceptance so far, but I still have a lot of schools to hear back from. I can definitely see myself going here though!

Which information do you mean? FAFSA stuff isn't available until January and the transcripts are just due before matriculation.

I think he means the transcripts and the background check and child abuse screen (which THEY take care of, right?). Like you, I figure this is all just due before matriculation.

Someone refresh my memory... the financial aid packages aren't sent out until the spring, right? And only AFTER you submit Fafsa or possibly before?

Correct. I had a phone appointment with the FA lady last week and what she said is that you send in your FAFSA in January and then they send you something in the mail after that.

Was your phone appointment useful? I've been thinking about making an appointment but I'm honestly not even sure what questions to ask? All I know is that I have to fill out the FAFSA...gulp.
