anyone else EDP? my status still hasn't changed but i'm supposed to get my letter this friday? does that mean they still haven't made a decision as of yet???

Do the exclamation points mean you were accepted? Or does your status update just say your decision is in the mail? I think EDP is just either accepted, moved into regular decision pool for another chance later, or rejected. I guess the second option is kinda like a waitlist. Only two weeks and two days til us regular decision folks can find anything out! 👍

i believe WSU sends everything about acceptances out via snail mail.

That's what I thought. It's torture that my status now says "a decision has been made about your application and will be mailed to you" - if you know what you you're decision is, just tell me, WSU! (sigh, I know they can't til 10/15, I just wish they could!)

for me i got an interview the very next day after i was complete...but maybe because i was an EDP applicant. It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks at the least. if you go back in the thread you can get a better idea as when some of the applicants were complete and when they got their interviews.

Ah it says my decision has been made too, but I'm regular decision. Now there's even more anticipation than before. Do you think they'll update our status online on the 15th as well, or will we only be notified through the mail?

Yep the status thing online. Not sure when it updated from interview awarded to the new one saying my decision has been made. I did interview pretty early on though.

Did you receive an email about a status update first or you have been checking and it updated automatically? I have anxiously been awaiting a response from Wright State. I have a 3.33 sGPA and cGPA in biomedical engineering with a 32P. I am afraid my grades will limit me at a lot of places though.

They just send you an email with an invite, asking you to call to schedule.

thanks drimpossible....how long is the turn around from submitting your secondary to interview invite....im IS also so i thought if Id hear anything it would be by now

@newnimproved: School added 6/21, secondary received 7/24 and submitted 7/24. My letters were added 8/23, so I've been complete since around 9/1 at most other places and I'm assuming at WSU, too.

The earliest available interview date was 10/27.

Also, some of the EDP people have been notified of their acceptances!

i interviewed early september and my status updated 9/28 that a decision has been made....i called the school this morning and they told me letters for EDP applicants were sent out tuesday....so i should be getting mine soon.

Yep, mine says this and I'm not EDP.

I want to call so badly and say "come onnn, you know what the decision is, just tell me already!!" This is the worst test of patience in the world! 🙄

I PM'd you back. But for the benefit of everyone I'll elaborate on this: stand by list means they aren't rejecting you now and when it comes time to create the waitlist, they'll let you know if you're placed on the waitlist (and whether the top, middle, or bottom third) or if you're rejected. But that won't be until the waitlist is made, which isn't until like April or May of next year...

I sent in my secondary 9/9 🙁

My status said (and still says at the top):
"Secondary submitted [date and time] &
something about LORs not being tracked on their site, just through AMCAS so if they're there in AMCAS, WSU has them"

When I got the interview invite, it was by email, and it took a few days for:
"Invited for interview - call to schedule" or something like that to show up BELOW the rest of the status message.

Now, at the bottom, it says "a decision has been mailed to you."


Moral of the story: there is no complete status. Yours will stay the same til a line is added to it about scheduling an interview if you have been invited. So, don't worry about it! 😉

Of course, IF yours doesn't even say "secondary submitted [date & time]", I would call to make sure they received it!

We can't find out for another 8 days. The wait is getting unbearable!! I've been so tempted to email Debbie and say 'can't you just this once...' Haha. Luck to all others who are waiting.

I got it from someone that interviewed last year. And I talked to the school at my interview and was told that they waited late last year to send out minority acceptances. Thats why there werent many in this years first year class. Which the school wasnt happy about. But I like this school. And I dont think they will this year but you never know.

Odd, most physicians in the area told me that white male was the kiss of death at WSUBSOM. I also believe one of the informational papers I got last year said their mission was to increase women and minority representation in healthcare. But that's also why I was surprised we have an unexpectedly large proportion of white males in my class.

edit: let me clarify what I mean by this: During my conversations with multiple physicians in the Dayton area and non-BSOM faculty at WSU, they have almost universally brought up that, historically, WSUBSOM has tried to fill their class with a majority of women and minorities. HOWEVER, please don't let this discourage you!

They mailed them yesterday afternoon. Nothing for me today. Really disappointed, I've been looking forward to this ever since my September 1st interview. 👎

oh, and they won't tell you your decision if you try to call and ask (at least, they didn't for me).

Don't worry if you don't get it right away. I have friends that applied EDP here and both live in the area; one got it the following day it was mailed and the other got it four days later. Sometimes the USPS isn't the speediest delivery service in the world 🙂

Interview Invite!!!! I don't remember when I was complete (sometime in early August I believe). 3.8/29Q . I had a question: the interview email I got was kind of confusing: are the interviews CONDUCTED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or are those 2 the only days you can call to SCHEDULE an interview?
