If anyone who has had a UCF acceptance doesn't mind, I would love to know who your POI is at UCF. However, I know this might make some people uncomfortable, so just if you don't mind.
 
If anyone has a UVM acceptance, I was just wondering if it was a mass email, or if your POI got in touch with you...
 
Just got a call this morning from Fairleigh Dickinson and I was offered a spot!!! First acceptance!!!!!

must of been POI specific causeeee I was interviewing when that person received an acceptance...

My POI at Alabama e-mailed me Tuesday and said it will probably be 3 weeks until I hear anything.

I hope funding hasn't fallen through for some professors, seeing as at least one geropsych person was accepted, and Dr. Karen Salekin's offered someone a slot, I believe, too. I know Dr. Sellbom was going to be taking 2 students, as well.

I assume(d) that the delay is that they've offered the position to someone else, who has yet to accept or reject it, and once they hear from that person, they'll move down the list if they decide not to attend that school, or notify everyone that they have not been accepted...

I dont think it works that way, that would be highly unethical. besides they have told several people that they have yet to make decisions, what might be delaying it is people trying to all get on the same page as far as funding goes and number of positions (between grad School and Psych program) that tends to delay it more often than not.
 
would the UVM person mind telling me who their POI was that gave them an acceptance? Especially since I had intterviewed the day before the 18th! Thanks!

That happens all the time. They offer the spot to someone then move down the list if they don't accept. Sometimes you find out you're on a waiting list and sometimes you just never hear anything.
 
Acceptance to FDU's clinical Ph.D. program via phone call this morning. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear! :xf:

I would also be very interested to know who the POI was for the person who was already accepted to UVM, if that person feels comfortable giving out that info 🙂
 
Has anyone heard from UCSB lately (esp the counseling track) and gotten an acceptance? It sounds like people are getting rejections via email.
 
2/22 and still nothing from John Jay post interview with at least a handful of other folks hearing decisions. Anyone else still waiting?
 
I've been obsessively checking this thread five or six times a day but haven't had anything to post and then today I got called by not one but TWO of my POIs with offers. Unbelievable! My life today is so much better today than it was yesterday!

Has anyone heard anything from SUNY Binghamton...I know someone on grad cafe did, and it's making me a little edgy

I still haven't heard anything and I recently interviewed at Drexel with at least 4 other JJ interviewees who have also heard nothing....the wait is killing me!

I personally haven't (didn't apply there) but someone at my interview this past weekend was accepted - I believe yesterday. Good Luck!

Hm I am not actually sure how many people have actually heard, I would actually imagine that if you are still waiting then maybe its not an outright rejection?? I have at least narrowed it down between fordham and john jay, assuming I get a freaking document from either saying I am officially accepted, I just dont trust phone calls...

As I understand it, JJ decides and then forwards the decision to the grad center for official processing. Anything binding will come from the GC. We know that there have been unofficial offers from JJ and official GC rejections post interview (correct me if I'm wrong here).

I'm thinking that JJ has narrowed their post-interview pool down, but has yet to finalize all of the acceptances. I'm guessing that once they have the last acceptance nailed down they will do the paperwork and forward it to the GC, (hopefully) putting a the rest of us not-yet-rejects on a waitlist. Only 30 interviewed, and some of those folks have been rejected - I think that puts all remaining applicants squarely in the "admittable" category.

AJ - you are probably waiting for the department to finish sorting the remaining applications and submit to the GC, my guess is that we will all hear the official decision at roughly the same time.

Healthy dose of speculation here.

Same here, correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard of anyone getting rejected post interview yet-just one unofficial acceptance to AJ. Am I wrong here? PM me if you'd like. The waiting is killing me. It's been nearly a month since our interviews.

From what I understand it seems like AJ is the only person who has been accepted thus far....has anyone heard of others? Someone PMd me last week saying that he/she got an official snail mail rejection post interview but that is the only person I know of to be rejected as of yet. Does anyone have other information? haha anyone else feel like their nerves are shot? maybe they're just weeding us out to see who stays sane during the wait process............
 
Got a clinical acceptance yesterday! I'm only saying the school by PM, but I will say that the latest interview date was just this past Friday, that I applied to the general track, and that I know my POI got first pick for a student, so other applicants might have to wait to hear from the program. News came via email from DCT. I met a great bunch of applicants here, too, so I'm excited to see who I'll potentially be working with!

I emailed the administrative assistant this morning. She stated that all the acceptances were sent out.

Sorry, I also didn't hear from them 🙁

Are they waiting on you to accept or decline? I heard somewhere that the admissions committee is waiting on answers from those who were initially accepted.

I emailed them back and told them I was very interested but was just waiting on official documentation, that I also had interviewed elsewhere and ultimate it would come down to a financial decision, since I was seriously considering any program that I was involved with. Lets hope they arent waiting because i am waiting too and in theory I dont have to accept until April 15th (I know I know what most of you would say to that, I am just saying technically I have until then).

I cannot imagine they would wait though...

Nope, my #3 choice. But I could definitely live in this city, work with these people, and survive the program ; )
