"2011-2012 Contingency Plan" Please advise.

Regardless of what your MCAT score is, I'd advise you to wait a year just because you'd be applying so late with stats that are significantly below average for allo schools, and below average to average for osteo schools as well. This is not a recipe for success. As for which postbac to attend, I don't think it matters. If all else is equal (price, linkage, etc), then pick based on geography.

Thanks. I'll still be applying to NSU. It's worth a shot. 3.35 AACOMAS BCPM, I'd say a 30+ MCAT can make it happen w/ late application.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I applied last year at the exactly timeframe you're looking at with better s and c gpas, only got one interview at a school that was already full (FSU @ St. Patty's day). In retrospect, I wish I hadn't applied last year, but I didn't even know enough about the application process to know I was making a huge mistake.

So...it's probably worth it not to scramble and send out a great application next year to a good amount of schools than to scramble and put together an acceptable app this year. Would also give you the opportunity to retake the MCAT if necessary (which is a good thing, even if you're acing practice exams, because you never know what will happen on Test Day).

You may be thinking "I know I really want to go to this one school" now, but if you get other interview offers, you may be surprised by other programs. It's always better to have choices. I ended up absolutely LOVING three schools I wasn't even considering before visiting them.
