I don't think everyone gets a complete email. I never did, but my status says complete and will be reviewed or whatever.
 
Interviewed 10/07 and still under review by committee/ no decision. Indeed this is a slow and painful process.
 
Same boat, Flod. Interviewed a couple days before you. It looks like it might be a couple more weeks with no Admissions Committee meeting next week too.

I think it just depends on when the person who interviewed you gets the evaluation in. I interviewed 10/17 and got the "final decision" notice today.

It might I'm surprised they didn't just wait list you instead.

Thats basically why I asked this question. Because Im not sure with so many applicants already been interviewed if there is a point of being hopeful. regardless of how matched up all my stuff is for this school 🙂
 
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I've never heard of anyone getting an interview invite after that status.
 
Just got the accepted letter! Letting everyone know that you do not have to have a 30 to get into medical school...the MCAT is not everything. Good luck to everyone else. Drexel appears to look at the whole person well at least they did for me.

So you were in the committee status within a week of interviewing? My status FINALLY changed from "with a member of application committee" to "with the application committee," and I interviewed on the 14th of October.

Waiting for the "final decision!"

Yup this is my status too. Guess I should focus my hopes on other schools...bummer.

Unfortunately, based on last years thread that is pretty much a silent rejection. Good luck every where else.
 
Interviewed here this past week. Pretty laid back. Don't know about getting in, but I must say that the school and City Center area (even though it is a 15-20 min shuttle ride away) would definitely be an amazing place to study for med school. Good luck to those of you who have or will be interviewing here =)

CONGRATS!!! I interviewed late October and am hoping to share similar good news soon! Kinda OBSESSED with the PIL curriculum... my status is still "you interview has been scheduled".... trying to stay patient......:laugh:

I interviewed 10/5, and finally received the 'your file is being reviewed by a member of the committee' status this past Friday. I feel your pain.
 
Does anyone know if you are able to change your interview date after you choose one in the online portal online or do you have to contact the admissions office? Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Yessir. You can hit "cancel my interview" and then look at all the available dates. I did this and scored an earlier, more convenient interview. Best of luck
 
Invite for December 8, hopefully it isn't too late in the season.
 
With the upcoming holiday, does anyone know if the committee is going to be meeting this week?
 
I spoke with someone in admissions last week and I don't think they're meeting this week.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Drexel to 30th street station (via Regional Rail)? I'm trying to figure out how much time I need to budget to catch a bus post-interview. Thanks!

It's about a 15 minute ride from Queen Lane to 30th Street. The schedule is here:

Just be careful because it only runs once an hour until rush hour hits!
 
Why does the mail take so long when you are waiting for a decision?

I just got my invite this week and i scheduled for the 4th week of January (it was the earliest available)
 
Interviewed on 10/18! Acceptance via snail mail on 11/25! I'm a huge fan of the PIL program and keep the faith to those still waiting for decisions! Happy Holidays!

I think this applies to most schools post-interview. If they were going to reject you, they were most likely to do it pre-interview. Post-interview, it's usually a waitlist or accept.
 
Hey guys, I recently got my package (yea!), and as a part of the paperwork it asks me to decide if I want to do all of my rotations at some particular spots around NJ. Particularly - in Monmouth and New Brunswick. This brings on two questions.

1. All of these places are up North. I'm in the South and my wife works even further South. Thus, I have no interest in selecting these sites. However, there is no option to check to not go to these sites. Do I just send the paper back in blank?! That seems kind of weird. :laugh:

2. I think they mentioned at orientation that students with a family get first dibs at rotations so that we can stay in the area. Is this true? Can anyone elaborate a bit more on this topic?
