Hey guys, I recently got my package (yea!), and as a part of the paperwork it asks me to decide if I want to do all of my rotations at some particular spots around NJ. Particularly - in Monmouth and New Brunswick. This brings on two questions.

1. All of these places are up North. I'm in the South and my wife works even further South. Thus, I have no interest in selecting these sites. However, there is no option to check to not go to these sites. Do I just send the paper back in blank?! That seems kind of weird.

2. I think they mentioned at orientation that students with a family get first dibs at rotations so that we can stay in the area. Is this true? Can anyone elaborate a bit more on this topic?

Thanks a bundle!
I would go ahead and send it in blank, or if you're truly concerned, you could just write that neither of the options interest you.

In terms of rotations, I'm only first year but every time this topic has come up, we've been told that students with families will have the priority of doing rotations near their families, and that we'll hear a lot more about choosing rotations when we're in second year.

do they email you when your status changes to final decision/decision?

I'm not sure if anyone has started a group yet, so took the liberty of creating one. I can't wait to meet all you next year!

Not to overstate the obvious, but if your status says "your file is complete and will be reviewed" the consensus is that they haven't yet gotten to it? I've had this status for 10+ weeks.

Is there another status that my application will change to once it has actually been reviewed? In other words, should I expect another status before a potential rejection/II/hold?

No, the next status update is one of the three choices you have listed. Keep checking your status because it changes a couple days before they actually send an email to you.

Thanks for clarifying! I'll keep checking....

I'm in the same situation as I've had that same status on my page for several weeks, but I only just received an email today saying that my file is complete and that it will be reviewed as soon as possible. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm confused since the status page already stated that I was complete for so long.

Same thing here. Got the complete email today, but my status has said complete for a long time.

In case anyone needed the information (I know the wait is awful):

Interviewed - 9/27
Final Decision - 11/15
Acceptance Letter - 11/22

There was about 3.5 weeks between a member of the committee and the final decision.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back! And to anyone going to Drexel next year - I'll see you in August!

I interviewed 10/17 and my status changed yesterday 10/29 saying that I'm with a member of admissions and will be sent to committee shortly. I would love a short wait time but who knows!

I never received a complete email but I noticed that all my letters were received by Sept. 12, wondering if anyone has received a status update beyond this completion date?

I would love to receive some good news before Christmas.

EDIT: called and I was actually marked complete on Sept. 8

Interviewed on the 14th of October. Took forever for me to go to a member of the admissions committee... sat there for a few weeks, and early last week went to the admissions committee. I would LOOVE a status change when the committee meets this Thursday... we shall see.

So we're pretty much in the same position! So if a status is going to change, it usually happens on Thursday or Friday after they meet?

i interviewed 10/18 as well and havent heard a peep...

I still have you all beat I think, interviewed 10/3 and still at "Your interview has been scheduled..."
Has anyone went straight to a decision status from this?

Does anyone know if Drexel responds well to status updates pre II?

I would give them a call to confirm that this is correct. I interviewed 10/17 and had that status for a few days before it changed to with a member of admissions (something like that). It wasn't until mid November that I received the with admissions committee status and a week later for the "final decision" status. Hang in there. I big part of it is also how quickly your interviewer gets the evaluation in to admissions.

I know the committee meets on Thursday but when do you get a change to final decision? Thursday evening? Friday?

Status just changed this morning to "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University"

I guess the waiting continues...but hey, at least now I know they didn't forget about me

The final status change usually comes on Friday. I've seen only some on Mondays. Good luck!

Way back when I was accepted, my solution to the "do you want to spend a year at one of these places?" paper was to scrunch up my face in indifference-flavored bafflement and shove the form In a drawer. It is probably still in that drawer.

THE COUNCIL IS MEETING TODAY!
I really hope they review my application today... and accept me.
I've been waiting since 10-11...

GAHH status changed to under review by adcom! how long should i expect to wait before a decision!? thanks!

I had your status on a Monday and a "final decision" by that Friday. Since you are just getting the status today, I would expect for your file to be talked about next week and a decision soon after.

For those of us on the waitlist...if we send in the wait list written response, will we see a status update online?

Has anyone's status changed to a decision has been made since the committee met yesterday?

Not yet, I figured I'd wait until 10 to start freaking out 😉 Good luck!!

My status just changed yesterday to say I'm now with the committee...still not going to hold me back from relentlessly refreshing my status page today for a decision status 😀 good luck errybody

Status just change to "A decision has been made"
Has anyone been accepted after getting this decision ?
Or for that matter, has anyone been taken off the wait-list in previous years ? (Is it a ranked wait-list?)

Application still says "Your file is complete and will be reviewed". Complete 9/10 🙁

I just received the Final decision status, has anyone been rejected from that status so far?

Got the waitlist ("A decision has been made") status too.
Even with an acceptance in hand, this stings.

I know I might just be paranoid still but I sent another email a couple of weeks ago to my student interviewer but received no response yet again.. Does this not bode well if my student interviewer voluntarily provided me with their email address and then never responded to my thank you email or to my more recent email? Am I just being neurotic? I would love to be accepted to this school!

I think from looking back through the thread, yes, there were some rejections. All I can get from what folks have posted is that. Final decision=accept or reject, and decision=waitlist.

I wonder what the reasoning behind not posting if you've been accepted/waitlisted/rejected is. And for that matter, why not an email if you're accepted? Snail mail makes it more scary!

How long ago did you interview? I don't want to jinx you and say you're accepted but if you think everything went well, it's looking good for you 🙂 Keep your fingers crossed!

I was fortunately accepted but I have heard people do get rejected...but I hope your're not one of those...GL!

I interviewed 10/07 and my interview actually went pretty well with the faculty and student.

Got II

Complete 10/02

Also had the 'complete and will be reviewed' status since 10/28

..............I never got a complete email. Is this bad?

From what I can see, most people (at least who posted) got accepted from a "Final Decision" status. That said, I have seen a couple rejections from that same status. So I think a final decision bodes well... but it's certainly not a guarantee.

fyi: My status went to "final decision" this morning.
