I was complete 9/6 and still haven't heard anything. I called the office today and they said I should be hearing something in two weeks....are a bunch of rejections going out around then or interview invites?

Fingers crossed!!!

Hi all -- I interviewed in the beginning of November, and I called the admissions office to see when we might hear back, and they said probably sometime in January, after the winter holidays! Thought that might be helpful to all 🙂
 
Lights out for me. Not sure when it was sent but I just saw the pre-interview rejection status in the portal. Super bummed... Good luck to everyone else!
 
II today for me!!!! omg i'm so happy! i haven't heard back from a school since october... haha 🙂

i haven't scheduled it yet because i'm waiting to hear back from one of my schools potentially today... but yay!!!!

Very sorry to hear that 🙁

Georgetown rejects a lot, and it isn't at all a reflection of the strength of the applicant. Good luck with your other schools!:luck:

Yeah, I figured as much. I really liked the school when I visited and was excited for the possibility of going back to DC to interview. Oh well, such is the process of applying to med school. Thanks for the wishes, and same to you! :luck:

thanks! 🙂 i was complete oct 18... a bit on the late side. but poster above me was complete in sept, so i'm guessing they're reviewing people between sept and oct right now.

Do you guys reckon they'll be releasing post-interview results this monday?
It will be exactly 8 weeks since 10/26.

If GU does things like last year, then they should be sending out notices for acceptances next week before xmas because I think they met this week.

Yeah, last year they released the post-interview acceptances on Monday, and released waitlists and rejections the first week of January. I don't know if they send any acceptances with those rejections and waitlists... Best wishes for Monday, I hope all of us SDNers make it :luck:

I called them on Friday.

They said the committee met to deliberate my group (10/26) the night before and that results would go out this upcoming week, probably Monday.

Here's hoping for us all!

Last year they cleaned up the rest of October with this meeting, but I don't know about November. My guess is that they have decisions for October 16th-31st, but there is a chance that I am completely wrong about that.

Just got the call from my interviewer - I am going to be a doctor!!!!!

ahh awesome!!!! just curious, was your interviewer an MD/med student/admissions faculty person? Just trying to determine if everyone who gets accepted gets a call, and if it depends on your interviewer, etc.

He was an MD. From what I've gathered, it seems like only some people get calls. I still haven't received the email - believe it goes out tomorrow.

Last accepted batch received calls on Monday and emails Tuesday around 9am. Waitlisted and rejected heard back later in the week. Not all those accepted got calls.

Thanks for the info! I had a med student, so I am not so sure a call is likely if I happen to be lucky enough to receive an acceptance.
 
Congrats to all who received calls today and congrats to those who will receive emails tomorrow. I am dying to know how far they reviewed up to. My guess is up to end of oct. If any nov ppl hear, please update us 🙂
 
AAAH randomly checked my status page just now (had a hunch things would be up at 12:00 EST). I got in!!!! GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE

I interviewed 11/10 and got the call yesterday. To be fair, I am an MD/PhD applicant, so maybe that accelerated the process a bit..just FYI.

The status page is the same one for the secondary right? The apply yourself site? The portion where it says application submitted is what changed? Thanks!

Congrats, yea I think md/phd applicants would be on a diff timeline. Im just antsy because I know the GU adcom is near my day.
 
yeah, what page are you checking your status on? where does it list the decision? no email for me yet and I interviewed mid october.
 
Ok that's what I thought. When I log in it just says submission status and that I was complete 8/15. Must not have gotten to the 11/16ers yet. Thanks!
 
is there a facebook group or anything?
 
Does anyone know how much longer Georgetown will be offering interview invites? I've been complete since August and am wondering at what point I should give up hope.
