darn still havent gotten it
For those of you who got the secondary, what are the essay questions? Non-trad here so essays that ask about things after graduation apply to me. Thanks!
If you are re-applying, briefly (4000 characters max) summarize your activities since your previous application.
If you have already graduated, briefly (4000 characters max) summarize your activities since graduation.
Our interview season runs from late-September through mid-February. Please indicate any significant (two or more weeks) restrictions on your availability for interviews during this period. If none, leave blank.
Good luck have fun 🙂
Is there still an HST essay? Thanks!
You know what, I'm not sure. I'm applying to NP so maybe the additional essay pops up if you check HST?
The login page is here. Maybe if you use the "Forgot your password" function, you can get the password sent to you before the official invite arrives? Not sure, but hope it helps.![]()
No email from Harvard yet. Is this an auto-reject? 😳

That must be new this year. All the ivies I applied to last year had crappy websites lol.FYI, the Harvard secondary website is awesome! Cool hover effects (I'm easily impressed) and they keep an online inbox of every email they've ever sent you! 😎
Any MSTP people with secondaries? Are there essays in addition to the MD secondary? If you are re-applying, briefly (4000 characters max) summarize your activities since your previous application.

Still no secondary - I even called and all he'd say was, 'within a week.' Gee, thanks.
I have a suspicion that many medical schools download applications alphabetically based on school name, assuming that the primary was submitted around the same time. I always got my secondary invites a little later than others too...
Mine starts with a V and I got it today. I'm not sure what the system is.I have a suspicion that many medical schools download applications alphabetically based on school name, assuming that the primary was submitted around the same time. Those that received the secondary and submitted it... have your letters of rec been updated yet?
Thanks.
I'm from FL, and I have not received it yet.has anyone from florida received the secondary yet?
Got it on the first day they sent them out.has anyone from florida received the secondary yet?
Yes.so the only two programs we can select from are the "new pathway" and "MIT joint program" ?
if we just want to be in a regular MD prgoram, we select "new pathway" correct?
i dont think ive ever been so impatient waiting to give $85 away
I'm a little confused about the 1st page where it says:
"Submit to AMCAS the composite letter of evaluation from your premedical advisory committee; indicate the name of the institution below."
Followed by:
"If you prefer that a different institution be notified (e.g. post baccalaureate program), please indicate below."
With one blank under these statements. Does this blank refer to the LOE name or the different institution for application notification?
They're not super super strict on the requirements. They'll inform you if you don't meet them and if you're accepted, you're unlikely to be denied because of the requirements. However, that is for NP, I would imagine that HST would be stricter (you probably do need to know DiffEQ and have a way to demonstrate it).Ahh I don't see the prompt for the HST... all I see is where it asks you to explain what you've been doing post-graduation. Was this something we were supposed to mark on the AMCAS when we select HMS? (HST as opposed to the regular MD, I mean)
But I suppose it doesn't matter b/c apparently I don't have the course requirements :-( I did not take any math beyond Calc III, and I only took 1 semester of Calculus-based Physics... Gahhh! Are they super strict about these requirements? Especially if you've taken further advanced courses emphasizing math/physics/chemistry/etc? My CalcIII course did have a section on DiffEq, and while I did not take Calc-based physics, I did take P-chem and graduate-level P-chem where a lot of calculus was involved...
EDIT: JK, I do see the HST essay.
Naw, I doubt they'll think you're desperate.Submitted secondary to harvard today. I hope I don't seem desperate (as there was only about a 3 hour turnaround time since the point when I received the invite). 😀
The blank is for the name of the institution that is submitting the committee letter for you. I don't know what's unclear about that.I'm a little confused about the 1st page where it says:

My rec letters are not showing up on the secondary. Anyone else having the same problem?
I'm the same but I wouldn't send so many emails over it... I am sure they will update soon enough. I mean if they are in AMCAS, Harvard will download them. No worries. 🙂It's the same for me. I submitted back on July 18 so it's been that way for awhile. I emailed today and got a response that letters usually take 48 hours to be processed. I emailed again to ask if I should be concerned (since it's been well more than 48 hours), and am waiting for a response...
It could be a snag on their end, or maybe they haven't started processing yet. Hope this helps. 🙂
Imma drop some wisdom on y'all. Emailing the admissions office all the time is not a good idea. Give a week after any event and when you wanted it to be completed before you send an email. They're busy. This goes for all schools.
