Overall, I really loved my interview day. It was my first time seeing HUCM as a person and seeing the wonderful family at Howard.. I gotta chance to meet some of the SDN folks and I met Ms. Walk and the admission staff! 🙂 ... I have been complete since 10/25 and am eagerly waiting for an interview invite. I am really inspired and uplifted by this thread. You all give me hope when I feel like giving up. There are so many people praying for other's good fortune, it truly shows the kind of community HUCM attracts - the kind I definitely want to be a part of! I'm glad you enjoyed your interview day. It was definitely a memorable day for me!

It's only been two weeks and I'm already anxious. Yesterday, I finally got some sleep after two bio exams. The best part of the sleep was I had a dream getting an email with ALL CAPS in the subject (lol) from Ms. Walk saying a decision has been made. It was the most awesome feeling, even though it wasn't real, to see HUCM believe in me and allow me to join the family.

All in all, I wondered: if the dream of acceptance to HUCM felt that good, how awesome is the real thing?!?!

Best of luck to those who interviewed recently. Also, if you're waiting for an invite don't lose hope. I met people who interviewed late-April and are currently attending! Just be patient and show sincere interest/persistence. Best of luck!

For those of you waiting for an interview, have you also send any updates? Be sure to keep updated. I remember several of you mentioning that you emailed and may not have gotten a response. My advice is make sure to call the admissions office, to see if your email has been reached. And keep in mind that there are many emails, so just be sure to give at least the office a call to let them know that you have sent updates. The admissions office phone number is (202) 806-6279 and they take calls on these times:

Mondays: 10:30 - 12:00 pm
Thursdays: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Fridays: 2:00 - 3:30 pm

Also, I want to say keep the hopes and prayers strong! I know waiting is tough and I'm praying and hoping for you guys!!! Anything can happen!!! Don't despair, and know and believe with Him is everything! 🙂 God bless you all and keep me in your prayers too! 🙂 I'm praying for you all!!

Wanted to say congratulations to the HUCM class of 2012 that got matched into their specialties!! (I remember during the interview on March 13th, two fourth year medical students gave a brief talk, and hopefully they got matched into their residency preferences that they wanted!! 🙂
