No problem, I was complete 7/22. I'm not sure what my online status says (the website is blocked by my work's internet connection), but I haven't checked it since I submitted the secondary because I didn't think I would be hearing back anytime soon.

I know others have speculated that this is some type of hold or something. God, I hope they're wrong.

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, but for the letters, my pre-med committee chair is sending a committee letter, along with my 3 science/non-science letters. Do I write all four of those in the space provided, or just the committee letter? That's the last thing I have to do before I can hit that sweet little "Submit" button!

how do we check our application status? i sent in my secondary august 11th, do we get another email about application status after submitting the secondary? the initial email they sent me was in my spam folder and was accidentally deleted
 
sorry if this was brought up before but...for the 25-30 line thing..is that when you're looking at your print preview? or when you're looking at the text box?

I counted 25 lines in the text box. But I really believe that people are way overthinking it. 🙂
 
Secondary submitted! My AMCAS was completed and my MCAT score came back only last week, so I am still waiting on my committee report. It should be in early next week. It seems being under review for quite a bit of time is standard. That has to be stressful!

FYI I found out that "your file has been reviewed...." is indeed a hold status. Basically means they passed on your file for now but you will get at least one more review before a rejection.

Good call Copacetic, I have been leaving all the adcoms with a dope beat to step to, so they can review my application in style. In this day and age, why even mess around and skip this step right? The image of adcoms stepping to a dope beat while reviewing my application in a conference room somewhere makes me :laugh:
 
Hey everyone, I was verified yesterday. I was wondering if any of you have an idea when I might receive a secondary. Or a rejection, gulp. Do they email it or snail mail it? And, I'm scared to look at their secondary, since apparently there was been a lot volatile debate going on here about this "25 lines or 30 lines" thing, haha. :laugh: I hope the secondary isn't confusing. GL

I received the secondary by email within a couple days of being verified. It's not that confusing, but you might want to get a head start on the essays to save you some time while you wait. Good luck! 🙂

I submitted my secondary on the 26th so its surprising how quick the turn around time was, I am assuming this means rejection maybe?

No this isn't a rejection. I applied here last year and had this status till the end. It means they're continuing to consider you and throughout the cycle, they pick people who they haven't decided on yet to reject or keep under review.

I don't think my app really even made it to an ADCOM member...

I submitted and was complete over the weekend, and my app has already been reviewed and placed on hold? Seems I got brushed over and thrown in the corner to be actually looked at later in the cycle.

It was completely maddening to log in every day and see this status, even after the interview window had long since passed.

Why did I click on this thread, anyway? :laugh: Good luck to all of you!
