Aww thanks HeroKit4Life😀 I'm having a great day because I'm alive and well....I've been continuously telling myself that no problem is Bigger than my Father who knows best so I'm trying to take myself out of the situation and let Him have complete control. I hope everyone is staying prayed up and trusting throughout this whole ordeal🙂 Believe me, I know it's tough! But I also know that when that day comes and our prayers are answered, this will have appeared to be a breeze!😎
 
I just wanted to write a post to everyone on this thread letting you all know how proud I am of each and everyone of us. I applied to several other schools and I have never seen so many people just motivate and encourage each other through the strength and life of God. This just goes to show us what we can acheive through God and positivity. Even though I never met any of you I just wanted to say that I am proud to be apart of such amazing and beautiful people. To those who are accepted, congratulations and see you in June and to those waitlisted or rejected it is not a death sentence. This is your opportunity to show them everything you have in you. Life is a fight, its nothing easy. So my question to you all in this position is are you going to fight? This is a testing period in your lives right now so are you going to give up? I believe that each and everyone of you have something special within you that you need to show. Give them all that you got, I know you can! 🙂
 
Officially rejected today, I figured it would be the case since being placed on hold. 🙁
 
I am sorry to hear that SilentSoldier. If its not c/o 2016, then it will be c/o 2017! Do not loose hope!

Haven't been on SDN for a while, but I was waitlisted as well a bit over three weeks after my interview. At first I cried when I received the email but then realized that where I am next year, is where God wants me to be. I started looking into teaching job opportunities for next year and will be studying all over for the MCAT (dreaded the thought of ever retaking that beast) BUT I refuse to give up with this cycle. For everyone else waitlisted, don't throw in the towel! I was reading last year's posts and people were accepted as late as June. [[Keeping the positivity up and the prayers going]]
 
I definitely agree with the most recent posts. If this is what the Lord had placed on your heart to do, then you must do everything possible on your part to achieve your dreams! God never said it would be easy, and He never will put more on us than we can bear, but we cannot expect Him to part the Red Sea (perform miracles) without a faith, hard work, humility, and determination from us. I've encountered many obstacles and set backs on my journey to medical school, crying lots off nights and trying to give up, but each failed attempt has increased my faith walk, humbled me & allowed me to develop a better relationship with God. It doesn't make me pathetic or someone to look at with pity, but it makes me appreciate every opportunity I'm given. I will succeed no matter what I come up against! And every individual in this forum can and will do the same. Children of God are more than conquerors and we will get the victory every time :-D
 
InsanelyPosh I am definitely with you on that. Is there anything too hard for God? What may seem like years to us is simply just a moment to God. Through this difficult season in our life he is refining us for a better purpose. He is bringing out the best in us and teaching us to rely solely on him. Nothing can help you through this journey but HIM. Not your grades, not your MCAT score, not your beautiful letters of recommendations. It is only by his grace that we can finish this race. So my Meharry family I encourage you to run with PURPOSE. Let's continue to encourage each other. We will make it. We are the head and not the tail. We are above and never beneath. We are sons and daughters of the most high GOD. Your steps are ordered. So count this all as pure joy. Your Victory is on its way.

Has anyone tried calling the admissions office and actually gotten someone on the phone? I've called a couple of times now and only get a recorded message. I'm just trying to find out where to send my first semester Grad school transcript and an update letter if they will accept them.

I had called the admissions office several times for other issues, but I never got a response. I emailed Ms. Davis and got a response within the same day. If you need her email address PM me. Hope this helps!

I called earlier today and got an answer. I called student services then was transferred to Admissions
 
It was a difficult decision but I'm giving up my spot...I hope one of you prayer warriors gets it!!! Be blessed!! 😍

Has anyone heard about financial aid/ scholarships from Meharry?

i interviewed on 3/26 and got a waitlist email pretty soon after. yesterday i got an email requesting a criminal background check. I was just wondering if anyone else on the waitlist got this email? dont want to get my hopes up to much..

To those concerned with information:

I was told they are meeting on the 25th to prioritized the wait list. Apparently, thus far, there is no organization to it at all. For us nail-biters, this should mean we'll be starting to see movement around the end of this month, or early next month... so don't get too anxious until then.

Hey, Did you ever hear about an acceptance? I got the CBC email on the 6th as well, yet haven't heard from any schools 🙁

I've been checking my email lots and thinking that I might just hear over snail mail. Following Easter weekend I'm thinking I might not get any mail for a while
 
Never got a response to my email either and haven't been able to get anyone on the phone.

Are these update emails or questions? If you are sending update emails most likely you will not get a response. Most schools if they do respond, they will just say this update will be placed in your file. I think someone said earlier that the committee should be meeting soon to prioritize the wait list. Please be patient with the admissions office and do not feel as if they are specifically ignoring you. If you have specific questions, you should email Ms. Davis. If you need her email please PM me.
 
Same exact problem! I've emailed and left messages for over a week yet no response. And no its not about updates, I'm an accepted student.

Sorry you guys are not getting through to anyone. It is really strange because I have been in contact with the admissions office this past week or two. I hope you get the answers you are seeking soon. I will try calling the office tomorrow, if i get any response, I will share.

That's whom I e-mailed.

Also, I don't really feel like being patient anymore. I've been patient for 4 months and received no acknowledgment from their office.

Hello everyone! I just gave up my spot at Meharry for the 2012 entering class. I hope it goes to one of you wonderful people who have been waiting. Remember that God has a plan. It is not easy going through it but in the end you will be exactly where you need to be🙂.
 
I would like to know if anyone has been referred to the post bac program and if so, have you heard back yet? Ive called daily for the past month and the end of March I was informed that they would begin reviewing the applications the beginning of April. As I've called almost daily since then, I was informed that they are still reviewing applications.

Hey Bestrong,
I was referred to the post-bac program as well, back in early Jan. I have not yet heard back too. I received an email that stated I would be contacted in April if selected for an interview for the program. I also sent in an update letter last month (no response from that). In the meantime, im hoping for a chance to interview.

and you know this bc it said on the acceptance letter what your percentage was? or it was on your waitlist letter?

They told me my waitlist position after the interview. I interviewed 3/26 and was told I was on top 10% waitlist 3/28. Accepted today.

+1. I have not heard anything either, but maybe they will make their way around to us with the recent influx of acceptances:xf:🙂
 
Hey BeStrong and InsanelyPOSH!!! Let me know as well if you two hear anything, I am in the same boat, and will do the same. I also submitted an update letter. I am praying for an interview. If we do not hear anything before the end of April the letter stated that we should assume that we were not chosen.
