My understanding was that they alternate between locations for the interview dates, so it just depended on when you got scheduled for an interview. GR would have been closer to home for me than Lansing, but I went to Lansing because that's where they were interviewing on my date.

Just one more week until some of us hear back! I wonder if my decision would be made by then (Interview 11/18). I doubt it, but it's a nice thought!

bahaha, I interviewed then too. It would be a welcome surprise if we found out so soon!
 
I've been under review since 8/15. OOS 3.8, 36Q. Good essays.... whats the deal!!

Good stats, now what about EC's, LORs, PS, and secondaries?

Amazing how many SDNers think it's a pure numbers game...

I'm not sure how I should describe those, but I'll go with 'great.' Other schools seem to think so, 6 interviews, multiple acceptances.

You do have great stats. Congrats on your other acceptances and interviews. You have obviously worked hard, but maybe chm isn't the school for you.

3 more exams before the semester is over! Wahoooooooo!
 
Anyone else interviewing in Lansing tomorrow? I'm very excited! Flew from Atlanta to Detroit today, then drove to Kalamazoo for some family time. Its good to be back in my state! Can't wait to see this school. Wish me luck!

Thanks! I'll let you know how the day goes. I think I'm going to go with a green tie, even though my wife says its overkill. I'm a spartan fan this week!

I was placed on "hold for interview decision" back in September. I just got another email saying my file has been placed on "hold for interview decision". Anyone know why I got another email about the hold?
 
i got the same thing. another hold email. does this mean they reviewed our app again?
 
Just got back from the interview day. Loved this school! Thanks to all the students and admissions staff for making it such a great day. Now the wait begins!
 
I got the same email for a second time too. Pretty sure it means they reviewed our apps again. Its a lot better than a rejection.
Are we supposed to send in updated transcripts after the fall semester ends? They seem to be pretty strict on not contacting them or sending them any materials.

I was put on hold two weeks ago and received a re-hold email again today. I doubt they re-reviewed my application! I bet its just a glitch.
 
How many people are interviewed during each interview day? What is the schedule of the day like? Are interviews back to back?

put on pre-interview hold today :bang:anyone have any positive experience with this? or is it pretty much a delayed rejection lol

I was complete in mid-August and have not heard a peep. I guess date doesn't matter all that much.

That's so weird. I'm a Michigan resident - if you're not, maybe that has something to do with it?

I interviewed on 12/1 too! It was really great--I didn't expect everyone to be so incredibly friendly and laid-back. The whole day gave me a wonderful impression of the school. Best of luck with admissions, everyone! :xf:

They tried to record the one during orientation, but something went wrong with the camera. 🙁
 
What is the normal time-frame of getting THE call post-interview? I interviewed at G.R. ... is within a week being too optimistic?

Yeah, I'd say that is too optimistic. Mine was three weeks out, but I heard that for these interviews closer to the holiday season, the wait will be more on the scale of 5-6 weeks before you'll hear back...
 
Interviewed 11-10-11...do you think its review time for me yet? What were the interview dates of the last acceptances?

This is pure speculation, but I would say that you will probably hear something in December. There are three decision dates listed for this month. :luck:
 
Best of luck to everyone waiting. I guess I'm in that category, technically, but I'm not holding my breath being that I just interviewed last week. Anyway, here's hoping we all get lit up by a (517) number soon!

Haha. I've been wondering if it would be a 517 or a 616. 517 does make much more sense...it is also an area code I don't get calls from very often so if it shows up, I'll be a happy lady!

same!!!! I have an exam tomorrow but I just keeping looking at my phone. Any one know how late they keep calling and has anyone received a phone call the day of? its so depressing not getting a phone call the day before a release date
