Their website says we will be notified on our status page of the decision by 1pm on the decision date - so why would they call us tonight? their statement also does not make sense if they have their meeting this afternoon anyways.....im just so confused!!!!!

From what I have gleaned from this forum, rejections and waitlisted people get notified on the official decision date, which is tomorrow. They receive emails and their application page's status gets updated. The adcom meets this afternoon to vote on applicants. Those that get accepted should receive a personal phone call from the assistant dean of admissions after the adcom meeting ends, making the calls sometime between 6pm and 9pm. Hopefully that helps.
 
AHHHHHHH, that makes more sense. I apologize....I thought the release date was 11/1 until I just re-checked and saw 11/2....
 
Interview Invite on 10/31 for 1/20. Complete 9/15.

OMG, my head is going to explode. My phone is currently on silent and hidden b/c I don't even want to know. Should I tough it out and get it?!

What?! Of course!! The phone ringing won't change anything, and if Dean Mauer takes the time to personally call you, you've GOTTA man- / woman-UP and answer it! The worst that will happen is that you won't get a call, and... Well, we just won't go there. Think positive!
 
haha in the process. bout to take it into the bathroom while i shower....(how sad are we?)

Keep in mind that if you don't get a call tonight your interviewers may not have turned in their materials on time, so you may not hear until 2 weeks from now

I missed the call since the service was not that great. But Dr. Maurer left a nice, long message!! So excited!!!!

I got the call tonight as well. I loved loved loved CHM, but I'll most likely be attending another school. No doubt a very deserving candidate will get my spot! Best of luck to everyone!

Congrats to those that received the call tonight! There were PLENTY of great candidates that were discussed this evening. To those of you that did not get a call- Stick through it!! Your time will hopefully come soon enough!

I did notice that some of you have been accepted and are considering attending other schools. I think it goes without saying that it would be most beneficial to withdraw/pull yourself from CHM if you do not plan on attending- leaving availabilities to the 'friends' on this site and around the country. 🙂

All that aside...Congrats to those accepted and Good Luck to those interviewing on Thursday! :clap:

Yup, this was my first acceptance! And it feels good since I've only interviewed at 2 schools. At least my home state loves me 😉 Congrats on your one of many acceptances to come!!
 
Hey guys, wanted to let ya'll know that I was rejected today. 32 MCAT, 3.4 sGPA, 3.6 cGPA from the University of Michigan. 🙁 I suppose I bombed the interview lol. I suppose I won't see ya'll next year but none the less see you guys in the end!!! Good luck to everyone

i c sorry I prolly just read it wrong. sorry bout that.

I loved many things about CHM BUT didn't get good "feelings" like I have at every other interview.

So I think if they had accepted me I probably would have given up my spot so I guess it all works out. Good luck to you and everyone else.

I got waitlisted. I am from UofM as well. 38 MCAT, 3.8 GPA. I dont think I bombed the interview. 🙂 Congrats on acceptances.

Hooray!! I'm so glad to hear that Sister isn't out of it for good! I like her / him!
 
I figure it is time to stop lurking and introduce myself. I am a first-year CHM student in EL. If you have any questions about EL or CHM, let me know.

is there a certain time when majority OOS applicants get interviewed? i was complete late augst..still patiently waiting!
 
Just got back from my interview... I heart CHM. And now I wait.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted this week. And SisterDoc, I'm rooting for you to get accepted at the next committee review!
