has the check actually been debited from the account? I mean I called them a couple of times to confirm that they have received it, but, its not"officially" debited yet and deadline is tomorrow for me. --> Nevermind, check was indeed debited on Friday..

Also, I just received an email with 3 documents: welcome packet, how to set up their email and MD packet

I interviewed at NEOMED early on in February and still have yet to hear anything from them. They had indicated that we would probably not hear anything until mid-March at my interview but I am starting to really wonder when that is going to happen. Has anyone else that interviewed around that time heard anything?

Supposedly the ADCOM met this week. Those of us waiting for a decision should hear something by the end of next week (30 March). They weren't very forthcoming with any other information, so keep your fingers crossed!

Has anyone gotten any acceptances yet lately? Yes they were really vague. I would think the acceptances have already gone out since they met earlier this week.

I received a status letter, dated 26 March, yesterday afternoon. If you're still waiting, I'd say give it another day or two and then check in with Admissions.

Hopefully you'll all get some good news!

Since it's been three weeks, I can only assume there wasn't any good news to be had from the folks at NEOMED. If anyone's wondering, I was able to tease some information out of the Admissions Office:

1) The bad news: You are where you are on the waitlist. They'll accept updates, but if you're 50/80, you're going to be 50/80 no matter what.
2) The good news: The last several years (so sayeth Admissions) they've pulled deep into the list. Supposedly they burned through the top 2/3 of the list, and pulled a few from the bottom third. So if you're hovering around 50% or higher, I wouldn't lose hope! 🙂
3) The waitlist should move twice: once around 15 May (when matriculants have to give up all but one acceptance), and again in mid to late June (due to BS/MD attrition rates). This is obviously good if you're holding out hope (high five if you are), but if you're locked in somewhere else and holding out for NEOMED, there's a chance you'll get the call too late.

Best of luck to everyone who's on the list!

Hello,

I interviewed in Mid-March and was placed on the top portion of the wait list a few weeks later. I just received a phone message today regarding an update to my application status. I'm a high school teacher and could not answer my cell phone during the day and did not return the call in time. In any case, I assume this is good news. Will wait patiently until tomorrow.

Just talked to admissions. I was accepted off the top tier of the wait list! Stay hopeful.. things are moving along.

The direct-entry students I met during my interview in March told me that most applicants are waitlisted at first due to the composition of NEOMED's classes (as has been described already..).

Best of Luck,
Chris.

Withdrew my acceptance yesterday, so there's one more spot to be hopeful of! Best of luck to anyone still holding out!

Just curious where NEOMED has gotten on the waitlist and if anyone has been accepted off of it within the last couple of weeks? Thanks🙂

I got accepted 2 weeks ago and I was originally in the middle of the waitlist. Best of luck to those still waiting!

Does anyone know what the orientation dates are? I know school starts on the 27th, but I didn't get anything about when orientation is supposed to be.

Orientation starts on 27th August, which is called Prologue.

i don't know if i should post this here or not but i was wondering if anyone can sumbit a review of NEOMED. i would like to get some opinions about its reputation (such as the students, the courses), how the medical community and other hosipitals view it ( for applying to residency). i looked around on the interweb and i couldn't find any reviews for NEOMED because of its relative newness and it is not as famous and well known (i think that's why?). i would love to apply here for the BS/MD program but i want to know if i can get into a good residency program/job if i were to graduate from here.thank you all very much! 🙂
