HELP!
Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Pacific University PSYD, Loma Linda Psyd, Baylor PSYD or PGSP-Standford Consortium Psyd???

I haven't heard from any of them, and I haven't seen much of anything on here or TGC so I wanted to check. Let me know!!
Thanks!!😕

BUT WAIT... we're not rejected yet, there is that small chance...

I crossed it off my list.

Same! Crossed it off a couple weeks ago...

This process is just utter happenstance! Even Fordham's letter had a note of "see you next year when we can get another couple of hundred dollars off of you!" It gets more and more competitive and we become a smaller and smaller percentage! But it truly makes me thank my lucky stars that I have a few interviews and a slightly better chance of getting into a program this year. Good luck to everyone and here's hoping you are the 1% (occupy Wall street aside).

Teachers College (Columbia)
PhD in Counseling Psych
received Feb 1

Received a forwarded e-mail from a lecturer in the program (not my POI) via the Academic Program Secretary. Interview date will be Feb 16 OR 17, but not either one. Another e-mail will be sent when they settle on the day. The e-mail referred to the Feb interview as happening "next month", so it was clear that the original acceptance e-mail had been sent sometime in January. I saw on here that TC sent out acceptance e-mails on Jan 27, so it appears I was wait listed. E-mail said they do not do phone interviews except in cases of emergency. I replied that I had already committed to interviewing at University of Miami on the 16th and 17th but I would be happy to interview in person any other time. Got a reply saying that I would likely not be able to interview for the program 🙁

I don't understand... Aren't they missing out on lots of highly qualified applicants if they won't interview anyone who already got invited to an interview on that popular date? I guess they have so many qualified applicants they don't care
BlamBlam, if you skip U of Miami's "reception" on the 16th to interview at a program in a different state, you will be in good company.

I called Baylor, they were running behind this year on their review process and invites should start to go out by Friday or Monday by the latest according to the secretary. I have also not heard anything from PGSP and I called them and I heard that they are still currently reviewing applications.

Did anyone else get that ridiculous rejection letter from Drexel?

Yep.

2/1: Drexel (clinical PhD): Rejection via email from the director
2/1: Fordham (clinical PhD): Rejection via email from the director

Has anyone heard from these programs yet?!

Not sure about the others but Fairleigh is letting people know on the 6th-7th next week if they are being invited for an interview on the 10th and 12th... yeah seriously!

Has anyone heard from these programs yet?!

Fairleigh Dickinson said that they are letting people know "a week before" the interviews-- which are the 10th and 12th. So that would mean by this Friday.

Rutgers PsyD program is going to hold interviews on Feb 27 so I don't think they'll let people know for another week or so probably.

Actually if you've applied to Fordham the year before the application fee is only $25. So that is one nice thing about them. Other schools definitely don't do this (cough* Stony Brook *cough)

Maaan, I wish more schools would do this.

Freudian Slipper and Mee26: Good advice about skipping the 16th at Miami. However, I think I will stick with my plans at Miami because I would rather get a leg up at Miami by attending the social event than miss out on that to take my chances at TC, where I was waitlisted. I am more interested in UM's program anyway, and they seem to offer better financial aid. Plus, it would cost me over $200 to change my plane ticket :/

any news from ST. Louis U and UT Southwestern for clinical?
Need to book my ticket soon and would like to know their interview dates if they haven't sent out invites yet.

I don't think UTSW has sent out invites yet, but an interview date of 2/25 was posted on TGC a while ago.

I Just talked to the admissions coordinator, and she said no invites have been issued yet. They will be reviewing the applications this week and next. They do not have an interview date set yet, but it will be in February.

I haven't heard from SLU either. I called them but no one wants to answer the phone. They may just be tired of us calling and have began to screen. I too would like to know if anyone has heard from them.

Has anyone else applied to the university of north dakota? If so, have you heard anything from there? Thanks!

I got an email from the grad office at UND linking me to my app which then had a letter which then told me I was rejected on Jan 30. Clinical PhD program.

Would any or all of the lucky individuals who got an invite for University of New Mexico Clinical PhD mind pm me your POI?

I would really greatly appreciate it. Thanks and congrats

I know GWU has released all invitations to interview as of now, and I feel like I'm in a somewhat awkward position. I don't want to come across as entitled or overly assured, but my stats are above the program's averages, I have a strong clinical background, and had really good letters of recommendation. Academic and clinical advisers agreed I was strongly qualified to interview, and had a good chance of acceptance depending on the interview outcome. Having said this, I did not receive an interview and it's making me kind of paranoid that maybe my application was not reviewed, or an email was sent to the wrong address.

Is there a way to check into this? I realize that this process is difficult and outcomes are often unexpected and really do want to emphasize that this is not coming from an entitled place, I would just hate to discover that there was some sort of mistake and I am no longer in the running because of a glitch.

Hi everyone! Think anyone would PM their POIs for NYU or TC Columbias Counseling programs? Still waiting to hear from them (aka..not looking so good 🙁 )

Thanks so much!

I also applied to UND and received an email on 1/26 which informed me that my application has been sent to the department for review. I checked my application status after reading the post above and it said that it was under department review. Taking into account when interview invites were sent out last year (according to GC), I am guessing invites will probably be sent out next week sometime.

Good luck!

Have you checked the apply yourself site? Did you receive a confirmation email saying your application was complete? Most schools will give you the chance to "fix" your application if something is missing like a LOR or GRE scores. I'm wondering when they will send out the rejections. It says my application is still under review.

Has anyone heard anything about the University of Maine's clinical program and when they are sending out invites?

I agree with the other person who said to check their online application section. But if you didnt get an invite, I think its just the crapshoot that is applying right now. Soooo many qualified apps! Could it be an issue of fit or match? IDK.

ETA: I'm not sure who you would contact, but I maybe call the department sec or someone?

Accepted into Adler School- Clinical PsyD
Email to check website for admission status on 02/02
Very happy. Now all I have to worry about is money. Yeesh.

Has anyone heard anything about the University of Maine's clinical program and when they are sending out invites?

UMaine's interview is on 2/20 and they did invites as early as 1/25 🙁 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Anyone know if the Human Development department at University of Maryland College Park has sent out invites yet?

All right, everything should be updated. Sorry the delay, I freaking contracted the bird flu or something and I've been lazing in bed for the past few days.

FYI, I'm leaving for interviews for the next couple weeks (yay!). Updates may be less frequent but I'll still try to keep on top of things.

Thanks for the response! My app also says it was sent to the department for review. I suppose we will just wait 🙂 good luck to you too!

I would like this information too please!! 🙂

Saint Louis University will be sending interview invites in mid-february, with an interview date in early March. No need to worry yet.

I was wondering the same about PGSP, also have not heard anything back. They just cashed my check last week. Glad to know haven't missed anything yet...(I think)

Oh they are definitely cheaper than most don't get me wrong. But then there's sending transcripts, GRE scores, travel expenses if you interview.... the whole process is probably as lucrative as the wedding industry!!

Is anyone else's online application to LIU CW Post (Clinical PsyD) not fully updated? I check mine every day and it still hasn't fully updated all my files - I sent everything in one packet but it shows that a few of my transcripts are not completed. I want to call them and make sure but their email's deter you from calling and checking on the status. Don't want to annoy anyone in that office...

I would just hate to be automatically disqualified if there is something that they missed especially since they said they are starting to call applicants for interviews.

Has anyone heard from Temple's School Psych PhD program? Please PM me!

I recieved this email today: "Thank you for your application and interest to the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium Program.* We are processing your application and will be notifying applicants of their application status in a timely matter."

Has anyone heard from Loma Linda PsyD?

If you were invited for an interview at UMass Boston, would you mind PMing me who your POI is? Thanks!!

School: University of Virginia-Curry School of Education
Program: Clinical and School Psychology PhD
Interview invite: Via mass email on 2-2-12
Interview date: February 24th
Reimbursement: None specified

So happy 🙂

Spalding University
Clinical Psy.D.
1/25 via email from POI
Interview date: 2/17

I see on the first page that Boston College is listed as one of the places that has extended interview invites for Counseling Psychology, but I was wondering if this was for the PsyD and not the PhD. Has anyone heard from Boston College?

Thanks 🙂
Sammi,
Sorry for the bad news. I'm a MA student at Boston College and I'm pretty sure all invites have been extended, as the interview days are the 6th and 7th of February. The only APA clinical license-eligible degree they confer is a Counseling Psychology PhD. There is no PsyD here.
Good luck

Has anyone recieved an interview date/acceptance to U Hartford's Clinical Program yet????

Hey, I applied to LIU as well and some of my documents appeared missing. I called and they had the documents, but I would call just to check!
