Interview invite this morning!! So excited!
I found this odd as well that there were only two dates available.
Congrats ya'll!!!!!
I've hit a dry spell recently, could use a Stanford invite right about now hahaha.
Hope the interviews go well guys! Are they starting to interview in sept?
There was one date the last week of Sept. and one date mid-Oct.

That is kinda odd huh?? Now I know why you guys were commenting on that above.
Stanford does the MMI, right? IIRC, they said that they will have fewer dates, but have more students on each day.

Yup. I'm actually kinda bummed that Stanford is doing MMI. I'd rather my doctor be someone whose ambitions, skills, and personality are conveyed in traditional "longhand" to an admissions committee, rather than in performative 8-10 minute spurts. A sad reflection of the times, perhaps?
But whatever, I hear MMI is kinda fun tho. And maybe useful for those ER-types?

It's the MMI thing the others were talking about. Stanford is known to do the speed dating model of interviews.

where are you from?
Did anyone have issues submitting written responses? In word my document is around 995 characters, but in the Stanford entry site it warns me that I cannot enter more than 1000 characters in this field (doesn't truncate my response though).
I had the same problem with other applications. Word adds some formatting that causes problems (e.g. an extra character or two between paragraphs). Try copying into notepad or cutting some characters.

Thanks, I'll do that. This secondary is immense for MSTP.

Totally agree. The secondary itself almost weeded me out!

+1 on that 😛
Did interview invite come through email? or was it on the status page?
Came as an e-mail, but the status page should also be updated.
Interview season starts in 2 weeks!! Good luck everyone!

😀

Is Stanford receptive to "in the area" interview emails?
I really don't want to fly out to california from the east coast 2x, and neither does my wallet.
I'm also in your situation, sitting on a batch of West Coast interviews and flying home from the East Coast. I think I will send an email - I'll let you know how it goes. 🙂
I found an extra "of" in my secondary essay. Will they hold this against me? If they are reading it really fast like I did while reviewing, they probably won't notice it. 🙁
Relax... it is unlikely to negatively affect you. If it makes you feel better, I made a similar mistake twice for one school and still got an interview there 🙂

Thanks! I decided to send an email as well. Hopefully it works out for us both
Hoping for an interview invite 🙂. I was complete on 8/4, submitted 7/17.

Hey, you guys sending "in the area" emails, will you let the rest of us know what happens? I live on the east coast and really can't afford the time and money to go back and forth to CA! THanks!
Sure thing. Still haven't heard anything yet. Complete 8/24
Are the rejection letters only via snail mail, or thru email as well?
