There was one date the last week of Sept. and one date mid-Oct.

Stanford does the MMI, right? IIRC, they said that they will have fewer dates, but have more students on each day.

Yup. I'm actually kinda bummed that Stanford is doing MMI. I'd rather my doctor be someone whose ambitions, skills, and personality are conveyed in traditional "longhand" to an admissions committee, rather than in performative 8-10 minute spurts. A sad reflection of the times, perhaps?

But whatever, I hear MMI is kinda fun tho. And maybe useful for those ER-types?

Whats the deal with submitting a photo, do we email them, because I couldnt find anything in the app site.

Interview invite today! So excited! For the photograph, do we just e-mail it to them? I can't find anywhere on the online portal to submit it....

Holy snap! Interview Invite this morning!!!!! Completely not expecting this one.

congrats on the interviews!! it is quite a feat. mind sharing when you guys were complete?

Can you go over the characters limit on this secondary or does the system prevent you from going over?

How does Stanford feel about in the area emails? I'm going to norcal end of September for two other interviews.

give me an interview stanford!! it's only been 1 and a half months....

Did anyone have issues submitting written responses? In word my document is around 995 characters, but in the Stanford entry site it warns me that I cannot enter more than 1000 characters in this field (doesn't truncate my response though).

I had the same problem with other applications. Word adds some formatting that causes problems (e.g. an extra character or two between paragraphs). Try copying into notepad or cutting some characters.

Thanks, I'll do that. This secondary is immense for MSTP.

Did interview invite come through email? or was it on the status page?

Is Stanford receptive to "in the area" interview emails?

I really don't want to fly out to california from the east coast 2x, and neither does my wallet.

I'm also in your situation, sitting on a batch of West Coast interviews and flying home from the East Coast. I think I will send an email - I'll let you know how it goes. 🙂

I found an extra "of" in my secondary essay. Will they hold this against me? If they are reading it really fast like I did while reviewing, they probably won't notice it. 🙁

Relax... it is unlikely to negatively affect you. If it makes you feel better, I made a similar mistake twice for one school and still got an interview there 🙂

Thanks! I decided to send an email as well. Hopefully it works out for us both

Hoping for an interview invite 🙂. I was complete on 8/4, submitted 7/17.

Interview Invite!! Made my morning after my boyfriend unceremoniously ended things via text this weekend (ouch.)

33/3.99, complete 8/16

Hey, you guys sending "in the area" emails, will you let the rest of us know what happens? I live on the east coast and really can't afford the time and money to go back and forth to CA! THanks!

Has anyone received a snail mail rejection yet?

Just submitted secondary on Monday. Am I at a significant disadvantage, or is their still hope for interview? 33/3.6 with outstanding publications and extracurriculars.

Complete 8/x

No rejection yet!

Sure thing. Still haven't heard anything yet. Complete 8/24

How does Stanford feel about pre-interview update letters?

According to the website I don't think they accept them at all unless you have an interview.

Got my rejection letter today in the mail. It was a reach school for me, so not surprised. Complete since 8/27.

Are the rejection letters only via snail mail, or thru email as well?

As far as I know, they're just snail mail. No email for me yet.
