Checking my email a lot to see if anything comes with this recent "Correspondence Sent" status change. 😕
Yea, it is hard to think that it is an acceptance given that they emailed acceptances last night. There's still hope, though!
Just now received the email saying I'm accepted! OOS (MD) 30/3.86/3.92
I was complete a long time before I got my interview. I interviewed 10/5 so this was a quick acceptance.
This is coming after a devastating wait list at UMD. Definitely makes me feel better 🙂

Congrats! That gives us hope that acceptance emails may not be over!

Yes, exactly. There's really no way for us (those that got correspondence sent this morning) to know where we stand.
Here's a good question: is anyone still on "Interview Complete" that interviewed a decent amount of time ago?
Hm, OK. I'm not convinced that the people that received the correspondence sent status this morning were waitlisted/rejected now either. Time to just wait it out and see.
I interviewed there yesterday, they said we should hear halloween weekend. But I wouldn't get too worried if it takes a few more weeks.

Just submitted my secondary today, 10/19, after being verified since 7/7. I was busy with several things such as the MCAT on 7/29 and starting my MPH in august. I'm wondering did I wait too long to submit?
I'm also wondering if you guys thought I had any shot of getting an interview? I'm OOS, cGPA 3.34, sGPA 3.49, and a 28M MCAT.

Does anyone (possibly geekchick?) know how receptive temple is to letters of intent?
My boyfriend and I both interviewed on the same day. I received an acceptance and he got on the wait list. My student host told me temple was very receptive to couples applying and attending school together so I was wondering if my boyfriend and I could send letters saying we would really like to come if we could come together.
Any thoughts? I'm worried that we won't find out about the wait list until may or June.

I was complete on 7/25 and have not heard anything since. I am OOS with a 28R (retake), 3.95 cGPA, 3.97 sGPA.
a couple questions for any current temple students (geekchick or anyone else who knows!)
Is there a gym? I can't remember the tour talking about it.
Also, is the older med school building used for anything now?
Does anyone know ballpark estimates for how expensive housing is for most students? Is center city expensive?

There is a small gym on campus and a bigger one down at main campus that we have access to as well.
I don't think I have even been in the old medical school building. I'm not sure what it's used for now, but all of our classes have been in MERB.
I have a house in the 'burbs with my husband and kids so I don't have any first-hand experience, but it seems like everyone has at least one roommate/housemate/SO they live with to split the cost, whether they live in CC or Manayunk (which is where a lot of the students live, but it's more of a PITA to take Septa from there than center city so I think most of the students that live in Manayunk drive).
As for the letter of intent question above, I'm not sure as I didn't need to write one, but I'd say it couldn't hurt! Remember, schools want to accept students who will ultimately matriculate so it's not a bad idea for your boyfriend to send an LoI that includes that he will absolutely attend if he's accepted since you've been accepted as well. I don't think you should send them anything, though, that's just kinda weird. Good luck!
I see well I guess I should get ready for the wait! lol. Went "under review" today.
My secondary was complete 7/20 I have not heard anything either. 32 S MCAT and 3.6 GPA from CAL Berkeley. I feel like its getting too later for these interview offers now 🙁. Loosing hope here

Just at my state school. *sigh* how are you doing?
I found out who my interviewer was the morning of my interview when I checked in. They gave us a folder with both our faculty interviewer and student interviewer, with directions to meet the faculty. My faculty interview was in his office in the hospital, and the student interview was in the medical school, so they were right across the street from each other.
for those of you who have already interviewed, how many applicants were interviewing on the same day as you? Also, was your second interview with a student or with and "admissions director or faculty member" (as described here: http://www.temple.edu/medicine/admissions/interviewing.htm

There were 15 of us I think. Everyone who interviewed the same day as me had a 2nd interview with a student.
I think there were 19 on my day, Sept 29th. I believe everyone's second interview was with a student.

There were only 8 of us (and randomly 2 others from my school haha). But we all had faculty in the morning, then ended the day with a student. Very relaxed day.
Do you mind sharing your stats? (even via pm if thats ok). I am starting to get nervous that the invite won't come (complete mid July).

Hopefully there should be more decisions going out today, since the adcom generally meets on Friday.
