Oh, forgot to mention that because of students withdrawing/deferring/increasing class size, no mandatory deferrals were made...because that would just sabotage A&M's reputation :nono:
 
WWWHEEEEEEEE!!!! Interview for 8/11!!! 😀 It's my first...I was so depressed after seeing everyone get interviews. I hope more Texas schools will show me some love. :xf:

Congrats! Im a little bummed i had to pick a later date, but its still there nonetheless!

I actually got it at 2:54 pm, but wasn't able to check my email until after work around 12 am. funny that the one day I don't check my email every 5 minutes is the day I get an interview :laugh: Don't sweat sol4eclipse, I submitted over a month ago. it's just a loooong torturous waiting process.

anyone know a good place to stay? I'm probably gonna drive down the night before.

Temple or CS?

the interview packet they sent yall should have some places. You could always try the med students too

temple. yeah i've looked at some of the hotels that was in the packet. Just wondered if anyone would recommend a certain place. I don't really know anyone in A&M. do they have the program to stay with a med student?

i thought you were going to CS? the packet i have only contains hotel suggestions. Maybe bc CS is their undergrad too, so there's campus housing to set that up?

I am but i assume the temple campus would have something similar. I think its just med students and no undergrads

I haven't been on here in a while and just laughed out loud so hard at this.

I wanted to be a dermatologist in high school, but have changed my mind since then.

When did you submit your secondary? I submitted mine nearly eight weeks ago, still waiting for under review status. So I called the office, and a lady told me this was normal internal process. For those of you who are worrying.

I submitted my secondary 6-29. I had all trues on 7-14. Today I am under review. Seems a little odd to me as most have only been pending for 2 weeks or so. If the lady said that it is normal than give it some time.

I'm in the same boat with ya SanAn, Submitted first week of June and still under review. I'm really not worried too much about it but by mid-August, I might start asking some questions. Nice to see that you called though and this is what they said. Honestly, I haven't been fretting at all about the whole process even though I have heard nothing from anybody lol. Maybe I should be......?
 
Under Review for me. Sent in secondary exactly one week ago.

I think you should have received a confirmation email from utmb and uthscsa at least, if you applied there. As for A&M, I just spoke with one of the deans and she assured me my application was being reviewed. She said if my numbers were good enough then maybe I would receive an interview offer at some point. I will let you know when my status changes from pending on bamf. I think August would be a good time to really start asking for confirmation. UT Houston doesn't even start reviewing until then, I believe.

Its a long rodeo that extends all the way till end of December. Keep it up and hang in there


The ADCOMs are swamped day in and day out with apps and making decisions, so naturally a little lag appears

Yeah I did get those confirmations, I just meant like for interviews and everything else. I have a few things on my app that will warrant closer inspection being a non-trad so just kind of have to take it a little slower. Besides they save the best candidates for last anyways 😉
 
Extremely quick. Mine has been pending with four trues for two weeks now. I might call if the status doesn't change in the next couple days.
 
I wish there was a formula as to how they are doing there application process.

I transmitted 6/21, but took a few weeks to finish the secondary app. The date that my entire app got four "trues" was 7/12 so I have been stuck in limbo for two weeks. The process is confusing...I thought there was a little more order to it until the post above where someone went under review in a week.

It was one week from when everything was listed "true" I paid before I submitted secondary. Maybe they have a different person reviewing for URM's or something?? No idea.

If you are interested in staying with a med student I would call admissions and ask. I am sure there is one student that will be willing to house you for a night or two.

Interesting thought. It's possible. I am a URM and i was true 7-14 and it took a little over a week for me. But that seems more in line with everyone elses time-line
 
It seems that the interview invites have dried up in recent weeks. Come on A&M!!!
 
JUST marked 4 'true's. Submitted payment on 17th when I submitted my secondary.
I was about to call them, then I noticed it said 5-10 business days.. :smack:
Hope I switch to 'under review' soon :xf:

New to this specific forum, hello everyone!

Congrats to those of you with interviews, A&M is a great school! I've had all 4 "true" and a pending status for 3+ weeks now :/ I assume that isn't a good sign... 😕

Mine was pending for about 4 weeks so I think you are getting close.
 
got an interview today for 8/25 at Temple but already have another interview that date so I requested for a later date on their form. Does anyone know if they are nice about scheduling your requested interview date if you chose the "later" option? I figure they should be if they have an option for you to choose a date to reschedule your interview... at least I hope so as I am very excited to receive an interview at this school!!

Call them up. i got the first date initially but i rescheduled to the 25th in college station by doing later and calling

So tell me why you're not those things. Or else I'll just have to believe you're a terrible custodian of the honor code 😛
