Congrats to all! I hope to join the ranks of the accepted in a couple of weeks or so :xf:

Congrats guys. Didn't get email, but called an they told me I'm in the acceptance range...

hang in there. Ya never know, they could pull you for an acceptance at the next adcom meeting.

It's official, acceptance range emails are out. Anyone in the same boat as me?

Interview invite today! Complete 8/17.

A huge congratulations to all you accepted folks and best of luck to everyone on the wait list and waiting for decisions! Never been to NOLA and I'm excited to check it out. 😀

Acceptable range( :wtf: ). Anyone have good luck/bad luck with this whole "Range" thing?

Discourage by this:

"However, most movement from this category will not occur until after we have completed interviews in March with the peak activity occurring during the month of May."

Good luck, Go check out the boardwalk after your interview... just head straight down Canal street away from the interstate until you hit the levee.

Thank you! Will do. 😳

Best of luck to you!

I submitted my secondary approx. 1 month ago. I haven't gotten an email or any confirmation from the school. Is this normal? Also, is there a way to check the status of your application? Thanks friends! :xf:

It seems to take about 5 weeks, on average. I'm just shy of 1 month and am still not complete, so don't feel alone! 🙂

I submitted my secondary on Sept. 2, and got the complete email this past Monday. Looks like it's taking a while. . .

Just got the rejection email today. Complete 9/19.

One day I get an II from one school, the next day I get a rejection from another. This emotional rollercoaster is so much fun.... :bang:

Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear from Tulane!

I just received the acceptance letter in the mail. I was surprised there wasn't any information about financial aid or cost of attendance, etc. Does anyone know when we'll get this information?

Got the acceptance letter in the mail....... Plus a $15,000 / year scholarship 🙂

They got back in the fight for me!

Where do you live? I was accepted, but haven't received the official letter yet?

My parents got the letter today in Arizona

mom got my letter at home. Didn't say anything about any scholarship. Where's the love for a louisiana girl, Tulane?

holy hell, 18 pages of posts already???

I was waitlisted last yr after (what I thought) was an awesome interview. here's hoping for this yr!

on a side note, I think it was the student interview that got me. I was told that one of my interviewers didn't think I was "too keen" on tulane, and it must have been him...oh well, live and learn. Take the student interview more seriously than I did!

Haven't received my acceptance letter yet either. I'm surprised we haven't had any correspondence as to tuition and financial aid...

Do you guys know if we have to wait for the letter to say we accept our acceptance or can we just call or something following the email?

the letter tells you to send an email to a specified address saying you accept

I will be in New Orleans for another interview but still haven't heard from Tulane. Does anyone know if I should email or call to say I'm in the area and ask if they consider interviewing me? Kinda afraid 😳

The interview day was great! Everyone was super nice, and I'm really impressed with how much Tulane has gotten involved with the New Orleans community. I hope they liked me as much as I liked them!

Just reposting stats for those yet to interview:

Class of 2014 Stats:

Class of 10,038
438 applicants interviewed
348 applicants accepted

Could somebody help me with how to approach the school about "in the area" request? Should I call and talk to admissions or should I write a letter and send via email? any help is much appreciated. thanks and good luck to everyone

Hi guys

I'm really interested in primary care (I'm also Canadian so I have some limits on which schools I can apply for in the US) but I read on other forums/websites that Tulane has a really good primary care program/pushes you/prepares you well for primary care. Does anyone know if that's true? I would have some more thoughts on this, if anyone has more info to share, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Secondary submitted 9/7, and I got the complete email today 10/24. So, I guess that means I won't be hearing back for awhile based on what's been posted so far?

I'm a T1 here at Tulane and I think the school is doing a great job with primary care focus (even for us first years). We just had a great talk last week by Dr. Streiffer who heads up the primary care dept about where the field is headed. Tulane has done a great job with primary care with regard to community medicine.

If you have the opportunity to come here, do it. This is an exceptional place to be.

If you get some free time can you elaborate on this? There aren't many students who post here so it'd be nice to have your perspective.

I interviewed at a lot of schools and know a few dozen students/friends at schools around the country. Based on their comments, anecdotal evidence and from hard facts I know about Tulane I simply don't think you will find a school anywhere that's more fun or that gives you more support than Tulane.

Anywhere you are accepted will give you a great education so why not go somewhere that supports you exceptionally well and seems to have more fun than all other schools combined.

Tulane is simply a wonderful place; I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Sure, it's expensive as hell, but for those of us going into primary care we won't end up paying for med school in the long run anyway. Happy camper here.

I just got a complete email today and I completed the secondary in early September. Is it common for Tulane to take a lot of time to send out complete emails? Thanks and congrats to those who have been accepted (and good luck to those still in the process)!

To those who are accepted and sent the email accepting the invitation:

Did you get a reply back? How do we know they received our emails?

Yes. 🙂 I just got the complete email today too, submitted early September. It takes some time and you generally hear about interviews 4-6 weeks later it seems.
