Generally if they don't let you know on Sunday it means no student interview but you can always call to make sure.
I wouldn't give up hope entirely but im pretty sure most who interviewed around them have heard. You are OOS. Nj schools don't take too many of them.
Does anyone know till what interview date they have made decision ?
Unsure, but it seems roughly mid-Sept. I interviewed 9/20 and haven't heard anything either. It's still possible they haven't gotten to your file yet if they're meeting once a week to review. Also, it doesn't appear that any acceptances were given out over the weekend. Don't give up hope!

That's true. They did start interviewing pretty early.
I interviewed on 23rd Sept 2011. Does anyone know if decision is made for candidates interviewed on that day ?
This is conjecture based on posts for this thread and previous years, but I think right now the decision is made for people who interviewed before and sometime during the week of 9/12. The latest date given by someone who was accepted was 9/13 and someone else said mid Sept. The committee meets weekly to review files, but I haven't been able to find when the committee meets during the week. It's probably later on in the week though, most likely Thursday or Friday, so they may have reviewed files up until the middle of the week of 9/12.
Previously, they've given out acceptances during the weekend from Sunday to Monday. And I believe last year, they didn't give out any acceptances the weekend after Oct 15th and gave out acceptances the last weekend of October for anyone who interviewed in mid-late Sept.
Again, this is just what I've noticed from previous years and I might be completely wrong. Still, crossing my fingers for this weekend!

Did Dr Heinrich call you ? Or you recived the Email from the office?
Received an email from his secretary saying she was emailing Rutgers applicants to see if they wanted to go to his talk and to let her know if I planned to attend. No mention of an acceptance until I was there.
Do you have an idea when they would have made decision on your app ? What was that Talk btw?

Maybe end of last week and they just didn't give out calls over the weekend, but I'm not sure. I got the email late Monday afternoon. The talk was about applying to med school in general, what admissions looks for, etc. There was a pretty long Q&A session too.
As a sidebar for everyone, Dr. H said the admissions committee isn't meeting next week, so that might mean a longer wait for some people. 🙁
I'm surprised no one mentioned this on the thread earlier - maybe I should have given yall the heads up. It's mentioned around October 20th in every year's NJMS application school specific thread: Dr. Heinrich goes to the Rutgers New Brunswick pre-med meeting within a couple weeks of 10/15 and individually hands out acceptance packets to those RU-NB students who have been accepted and are at the meeting.
If there has been, no one has posted saying so.

For those who might know, is it better to select an earlier interview date? Or can I just pick the latest one if I want? Obviously everybody wants as much as time as possible to prepare, but are the chances easier to get in if you interview earlier? Thanks!

I suggest sooner the better...(also the wait for the interview day & until the final decision comes out is a little stressful...)
Absolutely earlier. They basically pick the entering class by January.
Also the point of the interview for them is to see what you are like as a person and to find out more about you. I would not push back your date to prepare for the interview as it really will affect your chances of getting in.
According the website they select through march. However, I heard Dr. Heinrich notifies the majority of the class before Thanksgiving.
At the talk he said they basically have their class selected by January.

They wouldn't have gotten to your file until last week or the week before, and the earliest you would've heard back was around a week ago. Just be patient and hope they're doing phone calls this weekend.
Srry I took so long to reply. I got an email, short and to the point. It stated that they wouldn't look at the list until mid June. However, they did accept update letters in the meantime.........sigh
