Another Sunday evening wasted worrying if I would hear from Vandy, *sigh* Oh well, here's hoping we'll hear soon! It's been 8 weeks for me now.
I received a 'restricted' call at 3:37 Vandy time today. For students who have already been accepted this cycle - is it possible this was the Dean? I do not typically receive restricted phone calls, but it seems too early in the day to receive that sort of call. Is there any other place we can check our status?
Any input would be much appreciated - best of luck to those waiting to hear!
My call was from an actual number.

Scholarships are given out starting from this week! For those who are still waiting, you may get an acceptance and a big check at the same time! Cheer up!
Cool, where'd you hear this? Or is it from last year's thread?
I got an email that saying the scholarship are given out from this week to April. The second part of getting acceptance and money together is my speculation tho... This thread needs more positive energy!
Hmm has anyone else got this email?
Newp.
Don't worry about this email. I sent one a month ago asking about the scholarship thing. This is just a responding email from the office after 32 days. So nothing official.
What email address should we be using for update letters?
I was told to address update letters to Lindsay huddleston, the person that should have sent you your interview email.

I've attempted several times to email/call her, but I never get a response. Only when I CC Pat Sagen on my emails do I ever get a confirmation email.
I sent my update letter to Dr. Sagen, and she told me it was added to my file.
Got a call today from one of the deans: He offered me a nice scholarship. Best day ever!!

I wrote Dr. Sagen, too and didn't get a confirmation. Called the office, they said to send it to a certain email, which I did. Grr. that people get Dr. Sagen to respond to them.
Grr. for the long wait!
When people say they got an interview email, what do you mean? I just got the snail mail saying that they wanted to interview me...

I had a question about scholarship distribution! I don't really think of myself as a superstar of sorts that would attract scholarship offers but I don't discount it. More likely I'd feel any shot might be in a redistribution of turned down offers so I wanted to ask about how that works. Lets say a scholarship is offered to student A for 75%, student B for 50% nothing for student C. If student A turns down the offer, goes to another school, do they scramble to offer someone else that 75% or is that just money saved for the school. If they were to go and offer the 75% to student C it doesn't seem fair to student B who might have deserved 75% more. So basically I'm asking do scholarships at the top when turned down 1) Get never used 2) Redistributed to other people 3) Bump everyones offer below up, so say now B would get 75% and C would get 50%. Thanks for any insight. This is mostly for curiousity but also helps me assess financial aid possibilities if no initial offers are made.
I think the first wave of invites to go out received an email invitation as well as snail mail..
I only received snail mail, then when I submitted my secondary/ signed up for interview date, I got email.
Got the same call just now! Absolutely floored!!!
On a side note... hopefully this Sunday, right before Christmas, will be a happy and cheerful time!
That would be the best Christmas gift ever!!
Do we need to include any special information, such as our AMCAS number?

So for those of you who had a chance to call the office of admissions this week, did you have a chance to find out if Dr. Zic was planning on making the acceptance calls this Sunday?
