I'm hoping that acceptance phone calls go out today!! It seems plausible with the holidays coming up and all...
12+ weeks and counting since my interview!!
Yep, it definitely seems plausible. Good luck guys!

Anyone know when the last round of acceptances went out?
Are they calling today? Is the time after 6pm or 10pm?
guys, what if people were accepted but none of us were them? 8(
Someone who has been waiting that long should call and at least find out if any acceptances went out lately!
Also accepted yesterday! Phone call after 9pm with a merry voice mail attached. Interviewed 11/4.
Has anyone experienced issues with letters of recommendations? On the Application Status page, I have had a red X beside my undergrad school name ever since I completed the secondary even though the letters were sent way before I received an invitation to complete the secondary. I have called and email Ms. Huddleston 3 times with no luck in getting any response. Could this be a reason why it's been over 8 weeks?
It was its own link, below the check application status link
I see many people who haven't heard back from them for more than 8 weeks. Why don't you guys make the calls to the admissions office to find out where you stand? I'm planning on calling them at the end of this week, but was wondering if this would have negative effect on my application.

I'm not sure that everyone in limbo hasn't actually heard. For example, I interviewed Sep 6, and received an email telling me I'm under continued consideration. I have no idea where I really stand, but I can't say I haven't heard from them since my interview.
True. I got that email too.
Me too. I'm also thinking about calling at the end of the week since I've been waiting since August with just that email, but don't want it to negatively affect my app...True. I got that email too.
For those who got accepted last Sunday, did you all interview in early to mid November? My speculation is that Vanderbilt this year accepts best students in their applicant pool only after 4~6 weeks after individual interview dates, and then puts everyone else on the 'continue to be reviewed' pile. I think that once they fill their seats with those better applicants, they will pick the best among the rest to fill the remaining seats. I'm just throwing it out there, but seeing people not hearing back for more than 10 weeks suggests that this might be true.

Above poster, please decrease the size of your profile pic.
Oh thanks, I thought it was enlarged only on my pc.
Are waitlists notified by snail mail?
Thanks, yep mine was huge before also. btw, congrats on your Vandy acceptance! I was sadly "wait-listed" and would love to be in your shoes!

hi y'all! The New York Times wrote published this article today about our Vandy Med student wellness program: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/12/22/a-medical-school-more-like-hogwarts/
Hey guys, I have another quick question regarding updates. What do y'all think of sending in this semesters grades as an update, like an updated transcript for those of us who are post interview? Is there a point, does it even get looked at?
Thanks!
J
my pre-med advisor says some schools don't even look if you send them an update, pre or post interview. They have to put it in your file, but they don't have to look at it. It's really up to you, unless they say they don't want updates. If you really want to go there, I'd do it, just so you can say you did everything.

I remember at my interview day that they said they enjoyed receiving update letters from applicants. I plan on sending in my fall semester grades as soon as I receive them.
