Got the secondary! OOS
Just to clarify, we have to mail in the secondary to admissions? There is no website where we can create an account?

Yes. Wayne is slow and old school. Real mail... who uses that anymore.
I still haven't received the secondary (OOS) and got the screening email 7/8, so at this point I assume I'm not getting it 🙁

It is super slow. You might get the secondary next week. Don't lose hope yet. Wayne actually takes forever!

Give it another week...I'm OOS and got mine this past Friday. They're sending them out in waves. If you don't get one by the end of the week, I would probably e-mail admissions.
It's a holistic screen, which is probably more stringent for OOS applicants.
does anyone know if they look at LORs as part of the screen for the secondary? my school still hasn't sent in the committee letter, and i just realized that could be part of the problem...
I don't think so. Then they'd just review primary and start inviting for interviews. They probably just look at your scores, ECs, and PS. Even ECs, they might not look at the details but just what you have listed
Does anyone else find it odd that question IV asks for the details behind IA's but not misdemeanors/felonies?

But what about the more innocuous IA's, such as, say underage drinking? (HOW DID THEY KNOW?!?! 😱)
Mailed out my secondary application packet today. Now back to the waiting game to see if I get an interview invite.

No, it didn't specify, so I completed each response below the question I was answering on a single document.

Let me give you all some advice. Wayne is VERY slow in sending stuff out. Don't freak out about this cycle at all if you haven't heard anything (at least until the end of next July).
Medical school admissions is a painful yet hopefully rewarding process. If you stress yourself out now, you won't survive when you finally make it. Work hard and be vigilant, but try and relax (as difficult as that may be).
On another note, and I know this won't be relevant to most of you yet, but for future reference (and those of you still on this thread when waitlist season comes next year) know that this year Wayne State took someone off the waitlist two days after orientation started.
In other words, don't lose hope at any stage.
Good luck to all of you and I hope to see you as future M1s at Wayne State!
P.S. If anyone has any questions about the cycle, please do not hesitate to contact me. Orientation was this week and classes start on Monday, so if you want to get an idea of what medical school at Wayne State is like, wait a month or two and then ask.

Speaking of SLOW, I just got my rejection letter lol.
Mailed mine out yesterday. Although I just wrote my essays on separate pages with name and AAMC ID. I didn't even include the original secondary word document which they sent us - I just made sure I gave them the fee, photo, and 2 essays.
Received Complete Email today. AMCAS Verfied 7/22. Secondary Received 7/28 Mailed out 8/3. Complete 8/9. I'm instate. Now the waiting game...
Which question are people answering for II? This is one of my last secondaries, and I don't know if it's the questions or I'm just running out of steam, but I'm really struggling!!
I personally answered part B of question #2. I thought I know more about myself and what I want to do than the challenges that I might encounter in the future.
I'm answering question B as well. Talking about myself is easier than predicting the future 😛 .
I am struggling with this secondary as well though. It's my last one to submit and I am running out of steam. Also, I don't really have a person or event that comes to mind as most influential so I need to do some brainstorming on that one as well.

I think so. Like others have said before me, they seem to be moving very slowly. I was worried when it took just over a month to receive my secondary, but I still got it!
Yes, a lot of people received their secondary.
Are you pending on an MCAT score?
If so then don't worry... otherwise... it looks like you may have been screened out.
Did anyone call Wayne? I got my MCAT score July 19th and no secondary yet.
Received a confirmation e-mail that they received my secondary application materials on Aug. 9th. They still haven't cashed the check though...😕
