Just got a call from Medical College of Georgia for an interview. I also know that mass general child track interviews were offered starting last week. Hopefully today is a busy day of invites for everyone!
 
Duke Child Track email invites started yesterday afternoon I am still waiting on a yay/ nay from them...

Just got a call from Missouri Health Sciences consortium (VA + med school) for an interview.

EEK!! Although their ONE interview day policy is ridiculous and if the offer me an interview (I'm actually not expecting one) I already have an interview for that day. So unless they are flexible at all I'll have to say no.
 
I am so happy I found this site because no one in my program will talk about their interviews, but mad at myself too because now I'm going to obsessively check it!

I want to add one more child-focused site to the list of those who offered interviews already, as I heard from them: Stanford -- Lucille Packard Children's Hospital/CHC

Still waiting on 12 out of 16 sites. I can see from the posts that a few of them have already made offers.

I thought I received my first notification via email this morning, as I saw an email from Purdue University CAPS in my inbox. I took a deep breath, and clicked to open the email. Just a notification that my application is complete. :laugh: I figured it wasn't going to be that since I submitted my application almost a month ago now. Ah well.

Still waiting to hear from all 17 of my sites. But hey, at least that means I haven't been rejected yet, right? 👍

@ThisIsCrazy, we overlap on about 8 sites so I look out for your posts. Best of luck!!! There are only a handful of peds ppl on here.

I was wondering if any counseling center people were hearing anything. All quiet here except for the two I have heard from (Vanderbilt and James Madison). Still waiting on 20. I have a feeling we may have to wait until December to really stat hearing but who knows maybe we will get a surprise or two.

I had the same thing with Texas Childrens Hospital - you put a good spin on it!

you're not the only one re: west coast sites!! i'm really getting impatient. i thought we would hear before Thanksgiving break, but I guess not.
 
I hate it when I see a site has offered interviews, but in a different track. For example, I applied to Duke (adult) and MUSC (addictions). Interview offers for Duke (child) and MUSC (NP) have gone out, which makes me wonder if interviews for all tracks went out or just these tracks. I guess, no news is better than a rejection... unless it's a late rejection.

Yeah, the west coast sites are being slow... but maybe they always are? 12 of my 23 sites are west coast, and I haven't heard a peep from any. Last year I applied to ALL west coast sites, and I didn't hear anything until 12/1 at the earliest. Of course, this sample is just based on my own sites, but it seems to be accurate with the lack of hearing anything this year... so west coast peeps, we might be in for another week (at least!) of waiting... I also havent heard from my east coast or midwest sites, so I also think it is just still early.

On a totally separate note, does anyone know who heard from St. Lukes and when? I see it on the big list but couldn't find it in the thread... I applied there, adult track, so just curious when they started offering and what means they use...
 
A friend of mine got 2 calls this morning offering in-person interviews... one was to the Medical College of Georgia/Charlie Norwood VAMC... the other was to Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium.

I feel ******ed here, but I applied to the MO consortium and didnt know that site even had tracks?! I only applied to the VA portion though. The VA portion didnt have tracks, right?

Just FYI Friends got interviews yesterday and today at Casa Pacifica, Didi Hirsch child track, and Suny Upstate Medical child track. 🙂

Received an offer via email from Community Healthlink Youth and Family Services
 
Friend of mine got rejections from Ethan School for boys (?) and UCSF minority track today and yesterday :whoa:
 
Rejection today from Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Fine with me - they require you to complete TWENTY assessments during internship!

Wouldn't hurt to get an interview somewhere though... lol
 
That works out to only one every other week. Thats really not too bad...🙂

Depending on the type of assessment case, that probably isn't too bad. I love assessment and would rather memorize the phone book than do therapy, so I guess we all have our preferences. 😀

I haven't checked my application materials to be absolutely certain, but I believe you're correct--from what I remember, there were two separate "campuses" (or the equivalent), and you could apply to one, the other, or both. I think both had neuro-specific rotations and experiences available, but in different settings.

Edit: Also, Emory invites (neuropsych) have begun coming out.

Yeah, we tend to have a slightly-skewed perspective--when you're used to doing two to three neuro assessments per week, one every other week doesn't seem too horrible. But we also tend to have the "one and done" modality much of the time.

Those assessments, when coupled with 5-10 therapy cases, could definitely make for a very busy schedule.

Pretty sure Duke doesn't send all of theirs all at once. Had friends who applied last year.

I applied to the child track at Duke and I haven't heard anything yet either. Actually, I haven't heard from any of my sites yet. I'm trying to adopt the "no news is good news" attitude.

Yeah... I've been told by the people who review apps for the internships at my university and my DCT not to expect much one way or the other before Dec. 1 for most sites.

Just got an invite for University of Michigan IHA through email. Quite a late evening email at that.
 
sounds like things are really moving along today!! I got an interview invite via phone call by the James H. Quillen VA in Tennessee. 😀

I hope so! 😳 I saw on the thread from last year that someone got an interview invite on the day before Thanksgiving to a site I'm applying to! Granted it's a large site with many tracks, but I can hope...right??? :xf:

So far I have 1 interview, 1 site withdrew from the match, and no rejections (yet) - waiting on 15. I would *love* to have one more interview before Thanksgiving! Good luck tomorrow everyone!
 
eeks! it looks like the forum will be down tomorrow. where will we go to ease (or increase) our anxieties????
