2012-2013 Morehouse Application Thread

I interviewed in January. I then received an update in Feb saying that my file was still under consideration, and no final decision had been made. I sent an update in march and Mr.Hunter said I would receive an email if my status changed. I haven't heard anything since and It appears last year that everyone received a decision of some sort during the first week of April. Based on that I find it odd that I haven't heard anything at all yet. Just wondering if anyone was in this boat with me?

I got notified on March 22 that I was on the alternate list. I have been sending updates but I have been told that most movement of the waitlist won't occur until May/June. I am very anxious!!! I have a scholarship waiting to be used but no Morehouse just yet . Trying to stay positive!

Yes, I received a phone call the second week of April then got the official letter in the mail about a week later.

I spoke with someone in the Fin Aid office this week and she said that they are. Students accepted after the deadline of March 13th will be given a chance to receive need-based scholarships. I think you have a few days (after your accepted) to apply for these grants. Good luck!

I called the Admissions office today and was informed that they will be sending out status updates to everyone this week and next week...

It should be through email...however, in the past everyone accepted off of the waitlist received a call from Mr. Hunter.

When I last called, Michael in Admin. informed me that all alternates offered a spot had been notified - which leads me to believe that offers were made by phone and that the class is full - but this was late Monday.

That's fab, but I'm not holding my breath. There clearly hasn't been much movement thus far.

My guess would be none, and I'm sure the % varies since the class size is so small

He did also say there's still a chance...but Im not overly optimistic - can any of the recently accepted wl people let the rest of the wl sdn know how long they give you to decide? I also called on Monday, and was informed that people accepted off of the waitlist have 14 days to accept. That does not leave the rest of us much time. :\
