is there any news on why some people haven't received the secondary yet?
 
I'm not sure why some people didn't receive the secondary the first time, but according to previous posts in this thread those people should be getting it tomorrow.
 
Frustrating that our state school (ie. the one we probably have the best shot at just based on being IS) is by far the last school to send some of us a secondary...

Secondary received this morning, I sent in the application 7/19 or 7/20

Got this sucker in this morning. I actually sort of like the 50 word limit. It's an anti-BS policy. 😎
 
Still haven't gotten it. Seriously? Did I not even make this batch?

Anyone else?
 
I haven't gotten it either. I called the office and they said that they have been having technical difficulties getting them out, but that the next batch should come out by September 1st. That's really a long time from now considering I've been complete with other schools for about a month...
 
Got interview invite today. Real quick turnaround
 
Still no secondary either...was verified to them within the first week of amcas opening
 
Oddly enough, although my AMCAS application is still unverified and not a single letter of recommendation has even come through yet, I've already received my secondary from Penn State.

Lucky! I went there for my fifth grade field trip...Great Bear was my first roller coaster! I LOVED it haha... and went on to become a roller coaster fanatic...travelling around the country sitting in the front seat of many other coasters...still Hershey Park has that special place in my heart. 😍

How are you guys answer the "Is there a unique aspect of your application that should be considered by the admissions committee? (Maximum 50 words)" question?

Is it bad if I try to quickly state that I completed a senior thesis? I really don't know what to say here

Publications, awards, unique things you did that others prolly haven't, research, quirky awesome things you've done. I think I rambled about how I was an creative writing minor.

There's gotta be something unique. Play any instruments? Learn another language? Travel anywhere cool?
 
FYI: I just called to schedule my interview and apparently the person that does it is off today; she'll be back tomorrow.

On a side note, the person that answered was super nice and congratulated me on the invite. What a great first impression!

+1! The admission office was really nice to me when I called. I had some scheduling conflicts and they worked with me very nicely! If anyone plans to go September 28th,I'll see you there!

Really? I called at like 9:30am and got to schedule it :lame:
 
i am still not complete but i submitted same day as you guys....i feel like they're completing IS first before OOS haha

Idk..I just received a complete email and I am OOS. Submitted August 15.

I received and submitted the secondary the first day and I'm still not complete. I'm also OOS so I'll go along with your theory 😳

I put that I lost 60+ lbs since last August through plain old diet and exercise. 5'11" 275lbs --> 212 lbs as of today. I wrote about the experience in most of my applications, so I hope it doesn't backfire.

I'm dreading buying a suit for interviews, because I still have another 35 lbs to lose before I'm a healthy weight. That means that I'll look pretty silly if I get a suit now and then have an interview late into the cycle.
 
For those who have not yet been marked as complete:

My email says it could take up to "several" weeks to recieve this email. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Good luck to everyone applying and interviewing at Hershey this year! The interview is very relaxed and conversational so don't stress out. Hope to see all of you next year!
 
Sorry if this has already been asked but... are you guys getting IIs by email? I know PSU typically sends regular mail and/or calls for acceptances (right?) but based on their complete email I didn't know what to expect for interviews.

I know its optional, but is there any benefit of adding SAT scores on the Penn State app? I can't find my reports from back in the day, and don't really wan to pay $15 to collegeboard to request them.

Anyone know if they are beneficial to include?
