Got my acceptance letter today in the mail! Was actually surprised as I thought my interviews were kind of interesting in the not so good kind of way.
Also received "Continue to Review" snail mail preinterview, and continue to echo the unanswered question: "Is this just a delayed rejection for most applicants?"
got the same yesterday. I thought it was interesting that the letter was dated on the 12th and it supposedly took nine days to get to AZ. Oh well, I'm just hoping it's not a pre-interview rejection without actually saying it.

Complete email 2/13 (although submitted early), just received snail mail today dated 2/18 that I am moved to "continue to review" category. How many people are put here? Basically everyone?
What are you emailing him? Lewd photos? 😵Anybody know what happens if you email the dean directly? Lol
Interviewed on January 9th got my hold (waitlist) letter yesterday. Does anyone have any tips for being on this list?
I interviewed on the first week of December and called them today because I had no response yet. But, apparently, I am still on the queue to be looked at by the ADCOM. I don't understand the order that ADCOM is looking at either....
Same here. I'm guessing that use a priority score of some sort, that they determine pre-interview, which specifies the order in which they review the applicants post-interview. This is pure speculation though. There has to be a reason why January interviewees have already heard back and we haven't.
I just had an interview here today. I felt like the interview went very well, but I do not think Penn State is the place for me. Does anyone know how to withdraw an application? I logged into where I originally submitted my secondary, but I didn't see it on there.
Hopefully my withdrawal will make the PS applicant pool a tiny bit less competitive. Good luck to you guys who actually would like to go here. Just wasn't for me.
"Continue to Review" snail mail received today.
Sigh. I don't know why they even bother sending that kind of snail mail this late in the cycle.
Still holding onto that sliver of hope.
There's still some hope! I received and interview invite today after getting the "continue to review" letter a few months ago. Don't give up yet 🙂

They gave me a few dates to choose from before the end of the month. Pretty average stats, if not on the lower end for the mcat, but I have had significant shadowing experiences which probably saves my overall application.

got the acceptance package in mail today. interviewed mid january. OOS.
I think they continue interviewing until the end of March (28th I think), so I feel like the pre-interview continue to review letter is basically a silent rejection. Any chance that's not the case? Is it worth it for me to send an update/letter of interest, or do they not accept those?

I mentioned it before, but last year I was continue to review and got an interview. Similarly, today I received an II after being on the continue to review list since December. The last interview date is March 29th, for those who are wondering. 🙂
They receive update letters. I'm not sure how effective they are, but I sent an update after I got my continue to review letter and nothing's changed. Still worth a shot, though.
If you check the school website, they aren't receptive to pre-interview update/LOIs.
