Also received "Continue to Review" snail mail preinterview, and continue to echo the unanswered question: "Is this just a delayed rejection for most applicants?"
got the same yesterday. I thought it was interesting that the letter was dated on the 12th and it supposedly took nine days to get to AZ. Oh well, I'm just hoping it's not a pre-interview rejection without actually saying it.

My friend and I sent our application the same day. I received "continue further review" letter few days ago but my friend didn't. Not sure who is in better situation. I say my friend is since I see the letter as delayed rejection 🙁

Fine, I did the non-lazy thing *groan* and looked at older threads. I found someone who was continue to review and found mostly silence (rejection?) from continue to review people, but one person got an interview invite.

I JUST got the complete message today, even though My stuff was in and ready in early September.
I am confuzzled.
I am confuzzled.
Complete email 2/13 (although submitted early), just received snail mail today dated 2/18 that I am moved to "continue to review" category. How many people are put here? Basically everyone?
SAME, but I wonder if they ever reject applicants without putting them in this category...
What are you emailing him? Lewd photos? 😵Anybody know what happens if you email the dean directly? Lol
I probably can't answer your question, but I'm not sure what you're asking.

Interviewed on January 9th got my hold (waitlist) letter yesterday. Does anyone have any tips for being on this list?
Yeah.
Wait.
Interviewing here on March 11th. Anyone else?
I interviewed on the first week of December and called them today because I had no response yet. But, apparently, I am still on the queue to be looked at by the ADCOM. I don't understand the order that ADCOM is looking at either....
Same here. I'm guessing that use a priority score of some sort, that they determine pre-interview, which specifies the order in which they review the applicants post-interview. This is pure speculation though. There has to be a reason why January interviewees have already heard back and we haven't.

Truthfully, I'm just worried that they forgot about us and won't even give us a decision. haha Hopefully we'll get it in "next week" or if not the "next week after" and so on....
I just had an interview here today. I felt like the interview went very well, but I do not think Penn State is the place for me. Does anyone know how to withdraw an application? I logged into where I originally submitted my secondary, but I didn't see it on there.
Hopefully my withdrawal will make the PS applicant pool a tiny bit less competitive. Good luck to you guys who actually would like to go here. Just wasn't for me.

Just call the admissions office when you get a chance. I think a lot of people that are waiting will appreciate that 😀 Good luck with other schools.
"Continue to Review" snail mail received today.
Sigh. I don't know why they even bother sending that kind of snail mail this late in the cycle.
Still holding onto that sliver of hope.

There's still some hope! I received and interview invite today after getting the "continue to review" letter a few months ago. Don't give up yet 🙂

Nice!! Congrats!! Mind if I ask your stats?

Did you schedule it or did they just give you a date for the interview? Curious to see what kind of impression you may have gotten about how many more IIs may be left. Thanks
They gave me a few dates to choose from before the end of the month. Pretty average stats, if not on the lower end for the mcat, but I have had significant shadowing experiences which probably saves my overall application.

Shadowing certainly did not save you. It's more likely than not something you wrote in your PS or secondary. Or LOR.

I think they continue interviewing until the end of March (28th I think), so I feel like the pre-interview continue to review letter is basically a silent rejection. Any chance that's not the case? Is it worth it for me to send an update/letter of interest, or do they not accept those?

They receive update letters. I'm not sure how effective they are, but I sent an update after I got my continue to review letter and nothing's changed. Still worth a shot, though.

I mentioned it before, but last year I was continue to review and got an interview. Similarly, today I received an II after being on the continue to review list since December. The last interview date is March 29th, for those who are wondering. 🙂

If you check the school website, they aren't receptive to pre-interview update/LOIs.

I actually just got an II for April 3rd. Their email said that April 3rd is also the last date. Just an FYI...I'm very excited to go visit! Good luck everyone!

OK, so conflicting info here. Anyone know who's more right? 🙂
I'd honestly just give them a call. The ladies in the admissions office are very nice and would probably have an answer for you!
2LD is April 20th
