Can someone give me any advice on getting to temple's main campus from center city? Should I try my luck at SEPTA or should I just grab a cab and not worry about all the fuss. I know the 13th street station isn't too far from where I'm staying.

from someone that never used public transportation in his life, the SEPTA is SUPER is easy to use. Temples campus is a different exit from the Temple Hospital. To the hospital just take Center City to Allegheny I believe.

Just take the Broad Street Line to Allegheny. Erie station is actually closer to MERB than Allegheny, but I'm pretty sure Allegheny actually has a Temple police presence and Erie does not (I personally drive to school and never take Septa to get here).

Does Temple let u know if you are on hold? or pre-interview rejection?

Taking the subway will be faster than driving and much cheaper than a cab. I'd estimate 30-45 minutes via subway if you don't get terribly lost and follow these instructions...

Take the Orange Line at Temple Med, someone will be able to direct you to the nearest subway stop, ask them for the Erie stop -- it's a block up from the interview building, MERB. Take the Orange Line ($2 exact change) going south bound (To South Philadelphia). Try to get on the express train if possible -- but either way you'll be ok. Get off at 15th street and transfer (free) onto the Blue Line (Market-Frankford line), and take it going Westbound, towards 69th street. Get off the Blue Line at 30th street station. At 30th Street Station, ask someone to direct you to Regional Rails. Find Regional Rails and take the Regional Rail train going to the Airport (Airport Line). This will cost you $6.25 if you buy the ticket at the 30th Street Station. It will otherwise cost you $7.00 if you pay for your ticket on the train. The train stops at specific airport terminals, so know which terminal you need to get off at. In my opinion, this is the fastest way of getting from Temple to the Airport. I assume you're not going to have a car since you're asking about the airport. Secondly, a cab will cost you $28.50 (without tip) and you'd have to deal with rush hour (great movie) traffic. If you follow these instructions, it's really straight forward. Although the people in Philly aren't the nicest, someone will likely help. Good Luck on the interview!!!

Why on earth would you ever include the bolded part? When you get off the Broad Street Line at 15th/Suburban, you can transfer to the Airport Line there without going outside. Just follow signs to the Regional Rail and then look for trains to the Airport. Also, you don't add the extra time of walking to and from and extra line and waiting for that extra line.

Hi y'all!

I was accepted to Temple a little while ago, but have a few questions for any current students, there. How do you feel about the H/P/F grading? In honesty, do you think that adds to the stress level to get Honors? (How could it not?) Are the students involved in extra-curriculars, specifically, art clubs?

have been under 'review' since like sept/oct...do they silent reject? how could the review take so long? 🙁

When did you interview and when did you get the acceptance?

Hi jollybengali!

I interviewed Oct. 15 or sometime close to that date, and was accepted shortly after, November 12. 🙂

Anyone who interviewed on 10/24 hear back yet?

During my interview last week they said they would definitely get back to those who interviewed before me by Christmas break, and they would try their hardest to fit my group in too since we were around 2 weeks out.

I wonder if that applies to those who interviewed at St. Lukes? Probably not...not sure what is going on there that is taking them so long.

Oh I was at the main campus so I have no idea 😕 sorry!

I interviewed October 8th at St. Lukes. Today I got something in the mail that said I am in the "continued candidates" list. I guess I got wait listed.

Interviewed at St. Luke's mid/late October, and got Accepted today!

Hang in there fellow St. Luke's interviewees, looks like decisions are starting to arrive!

I interviewed on the 16th at St. Luke's, same outcome. Continuing candidates list... I really loved this school so I was bummed to get waitlisted. Were you OOS also? I know they prefer PA residents

Interviewed 10/16 at St. Lukes

Does anyone know if the deposit is refundable up to may or is it non-refundable?

Not 100% sure but most md ones are refundable.

Yeah... but I couldnt find anywhere that it said refundable :/ after all these interviews I'm poor! Hoping they won't just keep it!

I received an email with the acceptance on Friday (12/14/12). I still can't believe it. I'm beyond excited !!

I interviewed at St. Luke's hospital - 11/06/12 (OOS)

Good luck everybody!!

Is there a facebook page for the class? 🙂

PS: The $100 deposit has to be paid within 2 weeks of receiving acceptance and it's refundable until May - the information is on the website.

Does anyone have any idea how receptive Temple is to rescheduling interviews? I just got an II today (by the way they are scheduling through 1/18 currently) however I already have interviews those two weeks.

Thanks!

I had a friend who called and they were able to reschedule b/c of a conflict. Congrats! When were you complete?

Thank you. I was complete in mid-late august and under review since middle of September.

Does anyone remember how quickly or not quickly decisions come post-interview! Interviewing here this week and was just curious. Thought I saw stuff about it in an earlier post.

Thanks again! I called today and they told me since I just got the invite to wait till my two-weeks to respond are close to over and if no dates open up where I am available to call again.

Yep I remember them telling us that we would get decisions before Christmas. Or that they would try to at least. They don't have to stick to it though 🙁

Question for whoever can answer it. Let's say I get into my first choice, which is one of the satellite campuses. However, during my first year I realize I am in love with the main campus. Is it ever possible to switch which campus you spend M3 and M4 year after accepting a spot at another campus affiliate?

Someone asked something similar to this on my interview day. They said that it happens and it's a lot easier to switch into the main campus than it is to switch out to one of the other ones. Most people try and make the switch after their first year.

II today, complete 8/22ish

Congrats! I've been "under review" since about early September and really starting to feel like I've been silently rejected... Hopefully there's good news to come for some of us anxiously waiting!

Awesome...that woulda been my assumption, but I didn't want to be rash on my decision making, so this is great news! I'd hate to switch before starting and then regret it.

Interesting. When I interviewed, I remember being told it was easier to switch FROM main campus rather than to it. That said, that was two years ago, so I'm sure things could have changed.

Well my reply was from one of the student tour guides, so it's not as official as if it were to come from someone in the admissions office. If your response was from the admissions office I'd believe that over what I heard haha
