I thought the idea was that the list for this year might be different and that aSagacious logged into AMCAS today and got the current list?

I am using a mac and amcas just forced me to download a ghetto version of netscape to fill out the application. Apparently google chrome/firefox/safari isnt compatible...I think amacas just made the first "fu" strike

Although my excitement is somewhat limited by the fact that firefox and africa do not seem to mix well...it is loading sooooooooo slowly here. why oh why couldn't it be chrome compatible? Ugh.

But mostly, I am super excited. It's finally here after all these years of waiting! Ahhh!

I am excited! haha

I do indeed speak fluent French. However, I feel I must add a caveat to that. It is the very backward, grammatically incorrect fluent French of West Africa. That means a few typical tenses are just not used, the accent is atrocious, and when I speak or listen to European French speakers I miss things and they cringe. But it is at least about on the same level as my work partners and other Peace Corps Volunteers in the region.

Speaking of change, (this probably belongs in the AMCAS Q's thread) what is your opinion of the 'where did you spend most of your time from birth to 18?' prompt?

Are they trying to cut you some slack if you're not technically a resident of the state but spent a good portion of your childhood there? Or prevent being duped by the 12-month residents who claim in-state residency? I suspect the latter.

It would help to support a "strong state ties" contention for an OOS applicant.

It might be a negative for those with recently established state residency.

If you updated to Firefox 4, it's not compatible. But AMCAS is compatible with Firefox 3.6, found here.

I realize the AMCAS 2012 Application is open, but does that also mean it can be submitted right now?
I was under the impression that we could start filling it out in May but could not actually submit it until June? Is this not true?
