Hey guys!

I just wanted to post that I just received a non-personalized email (with attached Word document letter explaining the interview process) inviting me to interview at the London Clinical Psychology Consortium (I applied to the neuro track).

Good luck everyone!

Illiana VA sent out mass e-mail invites today as scheduled.

Rejection, same rather obnoxious email as last year - don't ask us why you didn't get an interview, if it happens with a lot of sites, ask your advisor - with updated numbers. Dartmouth and the Boston Consortium sent the same emails as last year, too. I don't know but I think it's fair to expect sites to write an original email once per year when people have put so much time into preparing applications...

Rejections 30%, 70% left.

Someone in my cohort got a rejection from University of Delaware Counseling Center by email a few hours ago.

I got an invite to interview at the Hines VA yesterday (12/1/11), which I'm quite excited about. 🙂

For those who got interviews to VA Illiana, was the e-mail personalized or mass? Assuming that since I haven't gotten one yet it probably means a rejection. 🙁

And has anyone heard anything about the Jesse Brown VA yet? 😕

Thanks to everyone who has been forthcoming regarding their various invitations and rejections. I'm glad that the "list" is helpful, although I'm sure it is as anxiety-provoking as checking your e-mail. With that said, if you find an error, please let me know especially in the next two weeks I'm sure notifications will be pouring in and I might miss sites, tracks, etc.

I'm currently about 12 hours ahead of the Eastern Time zone, so if you don't see me update it during mid-morning to mid-afternoon, I'm probably asleep. As my sleep adjusts to this new time zone, I'll probably be posting updates later in the evening. Just FYI in case anyone wonders why I'm not updating 🙂

One suggestion I would make for next year is to probably have someone who ISN'T going through internship to keep the list. It'll probably be less emotionally-charged for them, and if it is someone who may go on internship next year, they'll learn a lot about sites, tracks, etc. I know I learned more in the past weeks than when I was researching sites on my own.

Anyway, good luck to all applying this year!

A friend in my program received an email invitation to Arkansas State Hospital this afternoon.

Personalized interview invite via email for Millard Health Centre just arrived in my inbox. 🙂

Interview offer at WPIC. Interview dates of Jan 13 and 20.

Does anyone know if WPIC tends to send child/adolescent and adult focused interview invites separately? Trying to hold out some hope for the site...

I'm waiting to hear back from Jesse Brown too... 😱 Anyone get a rejection from the clinical-forensic track at UNC? I saw invites went out yesterday, and I'm wondering if I should count myself out... 😕

I think they may be rolling their invites...several of us are still waiting at our program.

I just received an invitation to interview at Southwest Consortium 🙂 It was a non-personalized email.

Mass email invite to the Southwest Consortium. Intv dates are 1/11 and 1/16. They also offer a phone interview.

Just got an invitation to interview at Baylor College of Medicine Pediatric Track (Department of Psychiatry...haven't heard from the internship at Texas Children's Hospital yet!).

Hey everyone! I had a question and was wondering if anyone was facing similar problems....I just received an email from Lancaster General Health saying they received my application and will let everyone know on December 8 regarding interview status. They have only ONE interview day which is Jan 5, and I already have an interview booked. Has anyone switched around interview dates before? I fear switching before I find out I have an interview at Lancaster, however am afraid the later dates will fill up if I don't at Reading Hospital. Furthermore, I don't know how sites feel about switching dates. AH, coordinating is NOT fun lol. Opinions/thoughts??

From what applicants from previous years in my programs have shared, it is normal to have to switch dates around a bit after all the invites roll in. Sites are *generally* very understanding and try to accommodate to the best of their ability. Previous year applicants contacted the internship coordinator by phone or email and very nicely explained the scheduling conflict and inquired whether switching interview dates would be possible. In some cases, folks have had to arrange for phone interviews when it has been impossible to resolve a scheduling conflict. My advice is to wait until all your invites are in and then request any changes, that way you are at least "armed with certainty". It would be counterproductive to free up Jan 5 if you don't get the interview at Lancaster General (although I hope you do!). This is just what I have been told...others feel free to chip in!

Is anyone still waiting to hear from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford?

Yes! I haven't heard one way or the other from Lucile Packard/Stanford. I heard last year there were some people who got neither invites nor rejections. I'm holding myself back from calling to ask until their Dec 15 "notify" deadline. 😛

Has anyone gotten a rejection from this site?

Congratulations!!! 🙂 Was the Hines VA invite mass email or personalized?

I know someone waiting to hear from Jesse Brown VA, not a peep!

Well given that I was geographically limited I expected this but it still stings. Second rejection was from OHSU pediatric psychology in Portland, OR 🙁 It was a general email with no explanation of the rejection other than "we had a lot of strong applicants." I have five more to go. Fingers crossed! At least these rejections were from my two least favorite(or maybe there is a bit of rationalization going on here). Good luck!

Did you happen to request an early review of your application per the Hines application instructions?

Good to hear that others haven't heard from Jesse Brown yet. Waiting is nerve racking, but not nearly as bad as being reject.

The Hines VA letter was personalized and my last name starts with "A" so there might still be invites going out. A few friends of mine, who I think are as good or stronger applicants than I am, have not heard back from them yet.

Hi. Just adding that I also received a mass email from the Southwest Consortium about 30 minutes ago. I had applied to the neuro track. Interesting that these came out so soon, considering they had a Dec 1st deadline🙂

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and well wishes to all!

Congratulations! Nice way to start the weekend 🙂

Thanks! I wasn't expecting to hear from anyone so late in the week so it certainly was a nice surprise! Congrats to everyone who heard good news this week. May next week bring more good news!

Has anyone received (or heard of anyone who has received) an interview at Mt. Washington? I saw it on the list, but didn't see anyone post about it.

Thank you SO much, that was so helpful and makes perfect sense!! I really appreciate it.

Illiana sent a personalized email. Can't say 100%, but looks like all invites were going out today since they wanted us to respond ASAP with our preferences for interview dates in January. Hang in there! And congrats on the Hines VA!!

Just received a mass email rejection from U of Illinois Urbana Champaign - This ones hurts as I thought I had a good shot for an interview there. 0/2 things are not looking up for me. :scared:

My last name is toward the end of the alphabet and I received an interview invite yesterday, too...

Me too. I applied 2 days ago! I wonder if they are inviting all of us...
Last year they invited 43%...

Hi all,
I received a rejection from LSU today 🙁 It was a personalized email. I applied to both the adult and adult/child tracks.
Hey there, Not sure if someone responded to you yet but I received a personalized letter yesterday attached to an email from the Adminsitrative Assistant for an interview at LSU. I applied to the Adult/Child track. I am super pumped!

Sorry neurnerd1! I meant to quote dlite not you. Im clearly very new to this!! To all, good luck with this process! Its rough going!

Mass email rejection from Pacific clinics just arrived

Congrats and best of luck to everyone on interviews!

It's crickets on my end. Trying to prepare myself emotionally for the onslaught of 20+ responses in the next 2 weeks 😱

Mass email invitation to UCLA-Semel! I applied to the adult neuropsych track. Open houses on January 13 and 20th. Good luck everyone!

I just got an invite to UCLA. They are having two open house interviews on Jan 13 and 20. 🙂

i got rejected from pacific clinics too, which is weird because when i applied last year they gave me an interview. this year i obviously have more hours and more reports but they still rejected me 🙁

Awww that sucks, I'm sorry!

I have to say I'm getting really frustrated with how random and illogical this process seems. I felt the same way about getting into grad school. I almost wonder if sites just pull applications out of a hat lol
