Has anyone heard from Miami Children's? Interviews or rejections?
I haven't seen a peep about it on here, but I'm not exactly expecting to since their notification date is listed "by 12/19."

Hi all,
This may sound like a dumb question, but what are your thoughts on wearing a suit during a Skype interview? Necessary or not? Thanks for any input!
Good luck everyone. It should be an interesting couple of days. Currently I have 4 interviews, 10 rejections, I am waiting on 4. I am waiting for Geisinger, Primary Children's, Children's Hospital of Orange County, UMass Medical Center/Worcester State Hospital. All 4 of them have already sent out invites so it seems unlikely at this point. My original goal was to get 5 interviews, with a little luck maybe that will happen.
Rejection by email, no bcc so saw the others in the boat with me.
I dont think its a dumb question at all. It's still an interview, they're most likely just trying to save you money. The least you can do at that point is look professional. I vote for suit. As a man, I'd still go tie + jacket, since I imagine I'll be sitting at my desk while on Skype. I may forgo pants though, just because I like to live dangerously

Hang in there! I am watching Morning Glory on Netflix. It's dumb and predictable. Misery is also an option on netflix, but I can't handle that movie 😀
This is exactly what I was thinking! No pants interview! I actually would probably go for professional top and pajama pants, but I like the idea of tie & jacket and skivvies even better! Just make sure you have all your materials gathered right where you are so you don't have to get up during the interview!

I hope you get 1 more! I currently have 3 that I'm very very happy with and thankful for. Waiting on 6 sites that haven't sent out responses as far as I know:
UNC Chapel Hilll CC
Clemson CC
Metro State of Denver CC
UC Boulder
Catholic University CC
Friends Hospital
I'm hoping to get 5 total too! But trying to focus on the fact that 3 is great. Good luck!![]()
Rejection from Ohio Psychology Internship...
I think there should be a rule that rejection and invites be sent within a certain # of hours/days of each other so I don't hold on to hope that they somehow forgot me or I'm on their alternate list.
Anyway, here's a question I haven't seen discussed - if it has been, please let me know where..
What do you wear to open houses? I have two VA open houses and one CC open house who all say that the open house has nothing to do with making ranking decisions. Suit? Business Casual? What are peoples thoughts/experiences??
Heads up Metro State of Denver sent out invites on Friday, two of people I know received invites. GOOD LUCK, these counseling centers are killing me with their delay. 😱

I just got this weird email from Emory that said: ".We have decided to hold your application in a group that we will continue to consider, but will not be able to offer an interview. This "hold" group represents applications that we consider viable (as opposed to those we have already sent "no longer considering" letters), but due to issues of "fit" or experience level or other issues, are not considered as part of our top interview group. We will rank order this group and include this rank order in our submission to the computer match program.".
.Anyone else get this email? Any thoughts?.

Yes! I received this message too! I feel like the back-up plan/rebound intern! Bizarre! Also thought it was interesting how they were basically like we'll still rank you and hope you'll rank us too!I just got this weird email from Emory that said: ".We have decided to hold your application in a group that we will continue to consider, but will not be able to offer an interview. Did anyone who got an invite to University of Louisville SOM receive an interview schedule emailed or mailed to them? The invite said we'd get it in a few days but nothing yet here! Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else got it. Thanks!
Thank you for the clarification!Nope, I didn't get the 'follow up itinerary' that was supposed to come out in a few days. The initial interview email did say that the interview day starts promptly at 8am and then the last activity is a meet and greet at 3pm...but that's all I have so far.
Still waiting on 7 sites, most of which have already sent out invites. I guess I will be getting 7 rejections in the next 2 days. That's just mean!![]()
Its a way of trying to make sure they dont go to the second round match process, which, (because of it increased length and demands compared to the "clearinghouse") is a huge demand of time and resources on the site/faculty. They have already done that in round one (and most are not compensated for the loss in productivity/revenue that results) and most don't want to do it again.
YES! In fact, you should even wear a nice shirt and pants on a telephone interview (I probably wouldn't break out the suit for a phone interview, but nice clothes). Putting on professional clothes puts you in a professional state of mind. Sitting on your bed in your PJs during a phone interview might be comfy, but it's not professional and you will probably sound less-than-professional.
yay! congratulations and good luck on the interview!
