I just received the invitation too (Congrats to you!). They are only offering one day per track, and I can't make it for the date they offered for the Neuropsych track as I already have an interview that day. Any take on whether it would be worth considering going forward? Their system is much different from all other sites!😕

I have been joking with my friends about how high maintenance I am given I can't even imagine what it will be like to be stripped down to the essentials for over 10 days. It's like dropping me off in a deep wooded area and asking me to use basic survival skills to get out. I will perish without ample conditioner and various products that make me look and feel normal. :laugh: I'm looking for tips as well, especially from those who typically take two huge suitcases for weekend trips (like me). This will be interesting.

I received an invitation to Western Youth Services a couple weeks ago. Also, I know people have been asking about Morrison Center in Portland, and I haven't heard anything from them either! It's 4:30...I was really expecting to have heard from everywhere by now. I'm still waiting on that one, Houston Independent School District, and Primary Children's (which I think is a rejection because they sent out invitations last week).

Unfortunately it's still 2:30 PST 🙁 So I guess they officially have 9.5 more hours to notify haha. Last year they also waited until the last minute I eblieve.
 
Rejection from Metropolitan State Hospital and email invite from Ethan Allan/Lincoln Hills School. To the person who asked somewhere above, I'm from out of state and got a phone call interview invite to UMASS Worcester. So, maybe their invites are taking longer since they are by phone.

I'm right there with ya sister! When I told my boyfriend that I was going to only be taking carry on luggage he just rolled his eyes, and expressed that he has absolutely no belief that is possible for me. 😛 But with ten days of flights and lots of layovers there's no way I can worry about checking luggage. I've been watching YouTube videos about how to roll suits in a suitcase and cram lots of clothes in there. I'm going to have 2 suits and few blouses to alternate with them, 1 pair of shoes to wear with them, and 2-3 casual outfits (jeans, tops, 1 pair of boots), and something cozy to sleep in, as well as a ton of toiletries. Not bringing my purse... bringing a dressy shoulder laptop bag instead and will fit all my typical purse stuff as well as my computer and interview materials in there.

This is my tentative plan but I'm looking forward to what you guys are doing! I am absolutely determined to only take a roll on and my lap top bag. May the force be with me!

Just got an email rejection, not personalized, from the Memphis VA. I had applied to their neuropsych track.
 
I really wish these sites would notify when they say they will. So tired of being a basket case.

I personally wouldn't put my suit in a suitcase. You can get those travel suit garment bags (mens warehouse has them for $3 or you can shmooze the salesperson for a free one) and use that to put your suits in. Almost all planes have a compartment near the front or back where you can store clothes on hangers; you may have to flatter the flight attendants but it usually works. If they don't have one you can always fold it in half and store it above your bag in the overhead and it stays better than rolling them in your bag. Just my advice!

I find that garment steamers are a life-saver when it comes to de-wrinkling clothes (I somehow manage to always wrinkle them when traveling, no matter what I try). I can vouch that this travel-sized one in particular is fabulous (http://www.jiffysteamer.com/products/index.asp?steamerCatId=1). It's a bit pricey, but you can find it cheaper on amazon and is worth the investment in my opinion! Anything that will help reduce my anxiety during this process! lol
 
I would hang my suits, but you can only bring 1 piece of luggage plus one hand bag or extra item on most planes. :-( People say that the rolling thing works and you just hang it as soon as you get there and maybe steam it in the bathroom a bit and iron it at the hotel. I don't know if I want to risk carrying a third thing (suit bag) and then somebody stopping me... but maybe I can get away with it. Is that what you all are doing?
 
Anyone else apply to the Chillicothe VA? Just curious. Their brochure lists tomorrow as their notification date. I havent heard anything yet from the neuro track.

Patron lost funding several weeks back. I got an email from td .. metro did too, pretty sure
 
I got rejected from Metro via email. I think they are sending rolling rejections because the people in my program who got rejected all received the emails at different times. No word from Patton.

I haven't heard from Manhattan Psychiatric either, but I do know they have a later notification deadline of December 30th. I'd love to hear back sooner but I won't be too worried until then.

Anybody hear from Alexian Brother's yet?

I really wanted an interview with them but haven't heard anything yet. I'm assuming that this means that I won't get one since they say in their brochure that they notify you by December 15th. 🙁

As for the James Lovell VA, it says in their brochure that they call people that they invite for interviews and do so between December 15th and January 15th. Hence, I'm still holding out a little hope for them since I haven't gotten one of those rejection e-mails yet . . .

Just received a non-personalized email invite to Morrison in Portland... interview dates are the 9th, 20th and 30th of January with the option of phone interviews.

Manatee Glen Children's Home Consortium (Notification was the 9th)

I know people have gotten interviews, but I have not heard a peep so I am guessing I should be expecting rejections.....

Anybody else still waiting for news from the Lexington VA? I know they've sent out both rejections and invites, but I've not heard anything.
