First response I have received was a mass email rejection from Holcomb Behavioral Health. I also had a friend get a rejection from Mt. Gretna.😕

Not sure if you applied to child sites, but I am not so patiently waiting to hear from Oregon Health & Science Univ and Morrison Child & Family Services.
For whatever it's worth, my OHSU invite came last year on the afternoon of Dec. 1, mass e-mail. That's an awesome internship IMO - feel free to PM if you have any questions about the site/interview day/etc for a former interviewee 🙂

I'm just chiming in to say congrats to the recent interview recipients, and bravo to all of us for hanging in there through this process.
Is anyone else feeling weird about telling others in their program about invites? There are only 3 of us in my cohort and I don't want to make anyone feel bad (even though the one site I've heard from is not one I think they applied to) but it's also strange not to tell, because we're friends and have been through so much together! Eek!
I feel like I'm going to have to shut off notifications on my phone pretty soon...every time it dings and then turns out to be LivingSocial I lose it a little more. 😛

I know what you mean, it can get really awkward. My cohort talked about it ahead of time and we decided we wanted to know and be happy for other people when they got invites. Also, in many circumstances sites do rolling invites so just because you get one doesn't mean your friend won't. That said, in the past other folks in my program preferred not to know when others got invites. So it all depends on your cohort - I definitely recommend discussing this issue with them. Oops. I meant to include this in response to the person who replied about UAB interviews.
Received an email invite this afternoon to Baylor College of Medicine. Seemed like a mass email ("Dear Applicant"). Not sure which track (I applied to 2--Child/Family and Adult/Adolescent); they told me they would notify me which track I am interviewing for after I respond to their initial email.
Congrats on your interviews! Do you mind letting me know when you submitted your application for the Mountain Home VA? Also applied there, but still waiting to hear 😕

Mass email invites just went out for Duke - Health track.
They only offer ONE interview date - Jan 13. I already have that date booked 🙁 I know this is a "good" problem to have, but does anyone have any advice on how to handle this situation?

Since having only one date is not the norm, you probably can contact the other site and see if you can change your date, especially if you very recently agreed on that date with them. I knew a few people who had 12 and 15 interviews in previous years and they both managed to make them all fit/work out (which is no small task). And the one who had 15 interviews made the point that most places were very flexible and understand that this is difficult to organize. And, if the site isn't understanding/flexible, then that gives you important information about them. It's probably not a place where you would enjoy working, I am guessing.
Congrats on all the new interviews! I am wondering if anyone has heard from Duke regarding the Child Track - Trauma sub-track. I know someone posted that they heard from the Child Track - General sub-track. I'm not sure if these are pretty closely tied or if they are completely different tracks so I was just hoping to find out if anyone has any more info. Thanks!

I applied to both of those sites. I highly doubt I will get an invite for a child site as my only children's experience is this year's practicum. I really want to work with children, but I didn't realize it until last year uggh. Good luck!

Congratulations! For your supplemental form, did you add extra experiences on the list beyond the space allotted on the original form or did you just stick with what was available?
I thought it was odd that they had a form like that and that they didn't have much instruction associated with it.

It looks as though they determine track later. You might have seen on their Web site that they have a list of tracks that you rank. This list to be submitted afterwards.

The email didn't say either way. It just gave a list of interview dates and encouraged timely replies as the days would be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. I would imagine a majority of sites would send at least 2 waves of invites. Or do some sites send out more invites than they anticipate being accepted? Such a mysterious, stressful process!
I submitted my application on 11/4. Not sure about whether they do rolling invites. Nothing was mentioned about this in the email invite.

Just got a phone invite to UCSD/VA internship. The dates are Jan 4, 5, 6, 9, 10.
The admin assistant making the calls mentioned she has about 100 people to call and has only gone through 18. They will be making more calls tomorrow. They will be off for Thanksgiving but will resume making calls Monday next week. My last name is towards the beginning of the alphabet, which might suggest she is calling folks in alphabetical order. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!

Thanks for the detailed info! My last name is at the very end of the alphabet so if they're doing it that way then I don't have to give up on them just yet.
(Although thinking about it it doesn't make much sense to give those at the alphabet preference in terms of choosing an interview date. But I guess if you call everybody inevitably you're giving applicant preference over others. So I thought maybe they would contact those they're more interested in earlier on, but that is probably more complicated than it would be worth to do.)
I believe that one of the students in our program who ended up matching there didn't get an invite for a while after other students in our program had. But don't quote me on that since that was 2 years ago.

I received the same type of e-mail as the original poster except for the child trauma track, a mass invitation yesterday. I only noticed child track on his/her post and figured the info was out there, sorry, I should have posted sooner.
Thanks for your response - not what I was hoping for, but I guess it's best to know that now!
