Received an email from Penn State's Counseling Center - they are planning to review all materials by Dec 7 and send emails regarding interviews and rejections on Dec 9.

Two classmates received interviews at Berea Children's Home and Family Services near Cleveland, Ohio.


Also, I saw that Pitt VA sent out interviews, but has anyone received a rejection email from them yet? I haven't heard from them at all.

My colleague just got an invite to the U of Manitoba Clinical Health neuro track for an interview. Not sure if it was email or phone though. I applied to the other four tracks and haven't heard anything yet.
 
The Mailman Center for Child Development (University of Miami) sent out interview offers two days ago via a semi-personal email.
 
Yesterday I received a personalized e-mail inviting me for interviews for the Rural and Northern Streams at University of Manitoba (only 2 I applied for). The interviews were coordinated for the same day so I assume that they will not send out invites until all streams have reviewed your application.

Yes, definitely.

"Dear Internship Applicant:

After careful review of your application I regret that we will not be able to offer you an interview. This has been a particularly difficult year; we had 149 application, up 50% from last year. We are only able to interview 50 people. [etcetera]"

PS - Sent "To" the training director (so I'm assuming I was a BCC), CC'd to dept of psychiatry

I got an email from the Portland VA saying that I made it through the first round of cuts and that they'll let me know by Dec 9th... Good luck!

AHHHHHH I'm so nervous! LOL I applied to Rural, Northern, Adult, and Child because I'm such a generalist it hurts, haha. I want an interview so badly, Winnipeg is my hometown and I would kill to have an internship there. Really, you might see me on the news. :laugh:
 
Just received personalized form letter email rejection from UCSD/VA. I applied to the C&A Inpt Psych/Child Outpt and VA Fam MH/C&A Inpt Psych tracks on 10/31. They had 325 applications for 19 slots. Boo.
 
Got an individualized e-mail interview invitation from Sepulveda VA today!! Great after Thanksgiving news!!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

I just got the same rejection, but a few hours after you. Oh well.

Congrats! I got that invite too and went back to review Sepulveda's website and saw that only 70-something people applied last year. Does anyone know why their numbers aren't higher (not that I'm not thrilled to have gotten an interview)?
 
Hi,

Thanks to everyone who has been posting their updates. I haven't seen this mentioned yet, but I received a personalized email invitation today to the general track at VA Tennessee Valley (part of the Vanderbilt-VA consortium). It sounds like interviews for applicants to other sites within the consortium are being scheduled separately.

Personalized (Dear "name" in form letter) email invite to Vanderbilt/VA Consortium this evening for the neuropsychology track (through the Tennessee Valley VAHS). The letter implies the invites are being sent out at different times from the different consortium sites, so no worries if you applied to a different track.

CONGRATULATIONS! That's awesome! 😀 Interesting they are making calls on a Saturday! I did not get the e-mail rejection so I am still hopeful 😳
 
Whew!! First notification from a site, and it was a mass email interview invite to UTSA with optional interview dates in December!
 
Just received a personalized invitation from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio with interview dates of December 12 or 14.

They noted that they were sending out invitations that were independent of tracks; in fact, they mentioned that it was a mistake on the brochure that made some people think they needed to designate a track beforehand. They are doing an "Open House" format.

I'm not sure if they had sent out all invites, though, and I'm sorry for the lack of info.

Has anyone else heard from University of Louisville School of Medicine yet? One person posted back on 11/21 that they got an invite but that's all I've seen... I haven't gotten an invite or rejection yet so trying to figure out if I am still in the running or if I should probably count that one out... Thanks!
 
Sorry I forgot to respond earlier! The invitation was via e-mail. It looked like a group/mass e-mail and explained that one of the rotations (Keller Day Treatment) would no longer be offered, and that they were wanting people to know this in case it influenced peoples' decision to attend the interview. Two interview days (in January) were provided. I'm guessing they are holding off on doing further notifications to see if anyone will decide not to accept the interview offer because of the change. Got a sunday evening rejection from MMHC (Massachusetts Mental Health Center) via e-mail....

duke was a stretch for me, so I'll likely be getting the same thing in the mail tomorrow :idea: hopefully some good news will come for everyone this week!

Thanks for all the work you're doing on the list. Just one clarification...I'm not sure if the Mailman Center has sent out rejection notifications, the email was actually for an interview.
