25% rejections, 75% to go.

I will be pissed at my (APA accredited) grad program for not preparing me adequately (apparently, based on not matching 2 years in a row) if I don't match this year. But I'll also be glad to know that I'm done with this profession and my dissertation. 😛

One thing I'm worried about is that I interviewed last year at a site that I applied to again this year... I'm thinking that I'll get an interview there again (they interview more than 50% of applicants), go through the stress and cost of the match and then be disappointed again.

It was a mass e-mail, but only for the tracks I listed. My last name starts with a G. I e-mailed in my rank order preferences for the date of interview. But again, it was only for the two tracks.

I don't' think its of much significance to have a personalized letter or not have a personalized letter.

People are trying to figure out if they can expect an invite in the future ("Oh, they sent it just to that person, so mine might be on the way") or if they're not in the "invited" group ("Oh, it was probably to all the invited applicants, damn"). I don't think it has high inter-rater reliability, though.

I am in the same boat. I was not rejected in the first wave of rejections that went out this morning, so I am hopeful, but still have not heard anything... Soooo unproductive.

Congrats! 🙂 When did you apply and did they say it was rolling invites?

I actually turned in my application for the Albany Consortium yesterday morning (the 30th) on the day of the deadline, so it was an amazingly fast turnaround. They did not specifically say that they were doing rolling invites; however, I have heard from interns and applicants from my program in the past that they review applications as they come in and do rolling invites. When I asked if they were offering any interviews in January, she said that they wanted to have all interviews completed by the end of December and would only offer January dates under special circumstances (which gives a small interview window, considering their late application deadline). Hope this helps. Good luck!

I applied, but I don't think I ever saw them listed on the APPIC Directory. According to their brochure they have submitted an application to become an APPIC member, but are not current members. However, they are participating in the match through the AAPI Online. This explains why you were able to submit an application to them, but can't find them on the APPIC Directory.
