hmmm... not sure? someone posted their invite contained 21 people, mine contained 5 (emails weren't blind cc'd) there was an attachment in the email with instructions on how to set up interviews, 3 dates to choose from in January...

Hmmm yeah I remember that. I mean I'm sure I'm getting a rejection but you'd think they would have sent it today. Weird!

I have recently discovered the show "Swamp people" which you can watch at tvduck. It's incredibly entertaining and totally takes my mind off internship!

Also fun is searching for apartments in the cities you're hoping to go to. Focus on the stuff you're excited about.

I haven't heard from them since they emailed to confirm my materials, but the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center indicated that they would notify for interviews by Dec. 1st, so I'm guessing mine is a rejection, as I haven't heard. Not sure why they wouldn't send out rejections soon after?

I think they were late in their invites- I think one of my colleagues had invitation for adult neuro around the 7th. Hadn't heard anything about child tracks though, so thought I'd check. Figure at this point they probably are all rejections but you never know!

Anyone have to interpret test data for a site interview? If so, what were the tests?? Kind of frantically trying to review the major cog and person tests but any help would be great!

My colleague has an interview at Henry Ford for peds neuro. I have an interview for Peds at Missouri. I have also not heard from Oklahoma. Hope this helps

I have not heard from Springfield and if by Philly VA you mean Coatesville... nope! I know several people have gotten phone invitations to the Jersey VA. 😀
 
I know invites were sent out awhile ago, looks like they got to rejections today.

Wow, four rejections in one day...

I've decided I like putting the classic green olives in the shaker with the gin and kinda letting them get pummeled by the ice. Gives the drink a more genuine olive flavor, I find.

Has anyone heard back from the TD at St. John's with their assigned interview date? I sent her an email yesterday and gave her some potential dates that I am available between the 3rd-25th. But I received another email today from another site with some dates overlapping the ones I gave to St. John's in the email. I'm just wondering if anybody heard back from Dr. Tuller with their assigned date. Are interviews happening everyday between the 3rd and 25th? Thanks!

I haven't heard back from her either, and I'm in a similar situation so I'm hoping she writes back soon! She also said we could call so I might try that if I haven't heard from her by Friday.
 
I received a confirmation email on an interview date, made the travel plans, emailed a thank you to the program, and they emailed back saying they were booked that day and had to schedule something else. It's really frustrating when this is already costing so much. Arg! 😕

Thanks for your reply! That's a good idea... I first called, but got her voicemail, and figured leaving an email message would be better than a phone message. Hopefully she gets back to us soon!

It helps-the support on this forum is great (truly awesome) but really isn't enough when you feel as down as you described. I, too, feel like I'm the worst performer in my cohort (I should have applied 3 times by now but this is my first) and have been battling M.Depression for a couple of years- it really helps to talk to someone who has been there and who can be objective. Don't wait, go to CAPS, your mentor (if you can), or someone who can help. Do it now, before you do get an interview and can't pull out of it in time, or if you don't (I don't know if you have any already) so that you are able to handle it without feeling any worse. YOU MUST take care of yourself!

I totally agree with this response to Monkeysuncle. I was saying in my original post that I was feeling kind of low because of this process, but then I just tell myself that this will all be over in a couple of days and there is nothing I can DO about it. However, if you are feeling this hopeless than PLEASE get help. We are all in this together and, hell, we are almost psychologists. If we can't help ourselves, we can't possibly help anyone else. Good luck in the next couple of days everyone! And I am thankful for this forum for the support.

P.S. Got a mass e-mail rejection from Nova Southeastern University's Psychological Services Center...it's ok, though. I am just waiting on the next 3 days....:idea:
 
Also got an email rejection from Valley Mental Health in Salt Lake City.

And to those who are down - I am also pretty depressed. I have other life circumstances going on too, but this is making it much, much worse. I am going to our Behavioral Health office tomorrow for short-term meds and a place to cry. My typical coping strategies just aren't cutting it.

Excellent! I love my olives to be stuffed w. feta, a nice twist.

My preferred cocktail is a freshly made mojito. I prefer to make my own syrup, though using guarapo is also quite good. Add in a quality rum, fresh mint, a dash of bitters, and shaved ice....few things are better on a hot summer day!

Yea, I was definitely shocked with what seemed (to me) to be their rude response of how they provided "feedback" about how they chose who to interview. Boo, that one was the third one I had gotten in a span of two hours and finally made me cry lol. Today I felt better, even having heard from no one!

Forgot to mention that VMH somehow got a hold of my personal email address, which I did not provide, so I got to read that same rejection email twice. Grrrr

Thanks KJC2011, it does help in that I should probably just count those two sites as rejections. I can't wait till this week is over and I know where I stand in regard to interviews.

Not to sound patronizing, condescending, or trite but GOOD FOR YOU!!! The hardest part and first step toward feeling better is realizing that we can't do it alone and reaching out for help. Then to admit it to others so that they realize they're not alone is extremely courageous. I hope you realize how much strength you truly have, in spite of how this very difficult process has made you feel.

It stinks that this process makes truly capable people feel so terrible. We all are ready for this, or our programs wouldn't let us get this far. Good luck everyone😍
