Didn't last years apps get submitted on the1st though? Or do you mean "this day one year ago" as in the day after you submitted?
The Monday afternoon after weekend opening [IIRC it was Saturday Sept 15th last year].
Didn't last years apps get submitted on the1st though? Or do you mean "this day one year ago" as in the day after you submitted?
It must be based on some automatic screening to be that quick.
There's actually a thread about that in the ERAS/Match forum. A few PDs have chimed in and they say there's no way to selectively download one part of the application, it's just that USMLE scores are set to download first. If you look in ADTS and compare the time at which a residency downloads your USMLE score versus the rest of your application, the USMLE score is downloaded first - there's anywhere from a 5 min to 3 hour lag (but it's always first - for every residency I have applied to that has DLed my ERAS info). This is not just for anesthesia residencies - the pattern is there for prelim and transitional programs too.
Not proof, but the pattern suggests there may be some sort of screening process and if there is one, it's first based on USMLE scores/attempts.

BTW I now understand how horrible it is to sit around waiting for interviews. I have custom alerts set on my phone yet I keep incessantly checking it. And it's only been a few days![]()
Temple didn't for me. Lots of programs didn't yet either though.anyone apply to Temple or Emory? Have they downloaded your application yet?
it does suck. i can feel my stomach flutter every time my phone beeps in my pocket. ive heard (that for most people), the first interview invites will come about 1-2 weeks after apps go out.
Congrats on the interviews, guys! ugh, im still waiting to get a letter from the chair of medicine. How many transitions/prelims did you guys apply for?
I applied to 18/11/10 Med/Surgery/TY but I'm not a US grad. Down to 17 medicine though since I don't think that prelim invite counts if they want me to withdraw from the match. For the record it was Mount Sinai in Chicago.Congrats on the interviews, guys! ugh, im still waiting to get a letter from the chair of medicine. How many transitions/prelims did you guys apply for?
Little worried about amount of prelim's i applied to, I applied to 12 - all desirable areas SF bay area and LA only. I felt confident with a strong board score and AOA status... but now thinking about applying against all those derm/rads/rad onc kids is making me have second thoughts. Anyone think I should apply to more? Was thinking if so I should looking up north to portland/seattle area as well?.. maybe nevada?

Received UAB - 9/18
They are interviewing Late Oct to Jan 23
(Long time poster but anonymous for this app season)
anyone apply to Temple or Emory? Have they downloaded your application yet?
Are three strong letters of recommendation enough?
1 from anesthesia clinical director
1 from medicine clinical director
1 from surgery chair
Or should I try to get one more anesthesia letter?
I'm sure anyone who writes me another letter will not be as strong as the letters I already have. Worried it may hurt more than help.
I'm a DO student with competitive grades. What does everyone think ?

Did you guys submit on the 15th? I did a couple days later and am now worried (unnecessarily but can't help it). :\

For those of you who have gotten interviews do you know if your schools have sent out your Dean's Letter?
