Has anyone heard from McGuire (Richmond) VA or Memphis VA? I saw Memphis VA sent rejections last week and while I didn't get one of those, I also didn't get an invite.

I haven't heard from Memphis either, I didn't get a rejection but haven't received an invite. Although at this point Memphis is just added to about the 7 who I have not heard either way from.

For you McGuire VA people, I wish you all luck! The site is located in a sketchy part of town (safe enough, but not as wonderful as other parts of Richmond), but don't let the location turn you off. Everyone needs his/her own car, so no matter what you'll be commuting to the site, but living elsewhere. And it's an affordable city that's growing expotentially.
Richmond, Virginia is awesome and I know it well. Feel free to PM me about the town if you consider the site as one of your higher ranking options.

I am still waiting on 9 sites... 2 of those are likely rejections that I haven't gotten the official message for yet. But that still leaves 7! Had an interview today and the other applicants I talked to indicated they were also waiting on sites. Nice to know this part of things should be mostly over by this week though. Sigh.
9 more that haven't sent out any rejections or invites and 5 "probable" rejections because they extended interviews already....good luck!
This has already been said, but I also received a personalized email rejection from the University of Delaware CC. It was a very nice rejection! And I was also expecting it so it wasn't such a terrible blow.

Of my 18 remaining, 1 is a probable rejection, 3 are sites doing rolling (notifications of rejections and interviews have gone out, but not to me) and the rest are radio silence. Not going to be a fun few days...

For those of you interviewing at VAs... One of the training directors was kind enough to inform me that some hotels will extend their government rates to interviewing interns. This of course isn't always the case, and you may still be able to get a cheaper price on some websites, but it never hurts to ask.

Just received a personalized e-mail invitation from Miami University of Ohio Student Counseling Center!!!!! 🙂 Interviews are on-site and available on: January 14 (8:30-1); January 15 (12-4:30); January 16 (12-4:30). Skype is also an option for those who live more than 400 miles away. According to the e-mail, the training director will be following up via telephone today or tomorrow.

I knew on one hand that it might be a stretch for me because I don't have children's hospital experience, but I have a lot of child maltreatment experience, so I was hoping it would work out! I am just trying to trust that it all works out for the best.
It's better than sites that do phone rejections! "We're just calling to say that your application is subpar, and we're not going to interview you, but we thought it would be really fun to get your hopes up first!" 😉

Thanks and no problem! They were all emails. Witchita was a mass email and the VA Black Hills and VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Psychology Internship were personalized.
