I also applied to the Child Track and have not heard anything...
 
Has anyone heard from Hines neuro? I see that they are sending out rejections. I know the other tracks have posted here.​
 
Cheetah Girl's response earlier gave me a forward thinking idea …. when we get through all of this … and we will … and after match occurs .. and it will…. maybe some form of this super helpful and supportive forum could offer ideas or thoughts for those that may be relocating. Though McGuire VA isn't one of mine - i would know nothing about relocation thoughts to certain areas… so just tossing it out there - teaching myself how to rethink beyond the next 30 minutes:nod:

I haven't heard from them, but I know they did phone interviews last week.

Has anyone received a rejection from them? For those who got an invite, was it personalized or a mass email?

Do you all have suggestions on what to do if a site's notification deadline has past, but you still haven't heard? I know that one person posted on here about having heard from the site, but I haven't heard myself, so it's not like they are just running behind altogether.

my friend emailed someone who is behind and just asked the status of her app
 
Baylor College of Medicine Adult/Adolescent Track (Menninger)! Invite via email 12/9, Dates Jan. 3, 6, 10, 13, 17 & 27. I should note that I applied to both the Menninger and Ben Taub tracks, but was offered an interview only for the Menninger position, if that helps anyone.

I know Monty tends to send all the invites on one day, but am I being completely naive in thinking that there is still hope since we haven't yet received an official rejection?

Would any SNDers be willing to help out my friend, who is trying to change her interview slot at New York Presbyterian/Cornell? They won't let her change her time unless someone in the morning also asks to change. Her message is below (she doesn't have a login):

Would anyone with an interview scheduled at New York Presbyterian/Cornell on the morning of 1/9 be willing to switch to the afternoon? They scheduled me for 2:15-5pm, but I need to get a flight out that night, and I'm worried about getting to the airport in time. If you'd be willing to switch, could you please email the program administrative assistant to let him know? Thank you!

I would LOVE to believe this is the case. My obsessive snooping just now through past SDN year threads, however, seems to point to Monte invites on one day, and rejections a couple days later. Boo to the BOO.

Ugh, I know. Last year I got the rejection on the same day that others got their invites. I know I'm hanging on to nothing here, but I'll give up when the rejection letter arrives. Hopefully I won't wake up to it tomorrow morning. =(
 
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center personalized email rejection received this afternoon, 12/9/13, for the adult/child track. :bang:

I'm waiting for Trinitas Regional Medical Center to either reject me or give me a shot. I was informed today by someone who underwent this process last year that because Trinitas has given out both rejections and invites, I'm a for-sure rule-out/rejection. What say the other SDNers out there?

This process is like :poke:, but 10 times worse...

Does it ever strike anyone as a bit ludicrous that this whole process is as stressful, competitive, and intense as it for *one year* of training? I mean, at least for grad school, you're there for 4-5 years and for post-docs usually two or three.

What time did you receive this? I'm still waiting to hear back from the Adult and the Adult/Child track...

If by ever you mean like almost every minute, then yes. It also strikes me as a tremendous waste of time and money for everyone involved. I mean when you stop to think of all the time that all the applicants put into applying, then the time that all the psychologists at all the sites put into reading applications, then all the time that both parties put into interviewing, traveling for interviews and such ... and if you assigned dollar figures to all that time, I bet that it might just be in the millions, in other words, a total waste.

How long should we wait to follow-up with an administrative assistant regarding the date of an interview? I keep providing 3 available dates to sites, and I'm beginning to run out of 3
available dates without responses from the first!
 
Still nothing from University of Minnesota Counseling Center?
 
Quiet day here. Last Monday I got an interview invite, but today, just one rejection. I guess I should still be happy that I got 2 invites on Friday, but I still have 11 sites to hear from!

If it were me, I'd be excited to get the email and then disappointed when I remembered it was a test email. 😉
