15. Seriously. 15. Of which only 4 have done any kind of notification and only one hasn't sent rejections. I may go a little crazy if I don't hear from a good chunk in the next day or 2. Only 2 sites to go with later than 12/16 notification deadline, at least...
 
Is anyone else still waiting on a probable rejection from the Atlanta VA? I saw that their notification went out earlier this week. They are the last of the 15 VAs I am waiting to hear back from. I'm definitely looking forward the the end of compulsive email checking!
 
Two pubs is definitely on the light end for AMCs, even with an F31. Like many things it doesn't mean its impossible, but we're working with probabilities here.

I think a lot of it is networking too. Even if not personal, many of the AMCs seem to "know" the labs that produce solid academics so its important to get a sense from your mentor or former students about where they typically get interviews. My CV is pretty strong, but who knows how I would be doing if my mentors were not known at most of the sites I applied to.

I haven't heard anything from wright state or child and adolescent either. The child and adolescent one is particularly frustrating because even though I feel like I will probably not receive an interview, I wish they would at least send me a rejection notification so I don't keep getting my hopes up.
 
Personalized email invitation from Lehigh University UCC at 10:53am. Skype and in-person interviews 12/17-12/19 and 1/6-1/9.

This process is so tiring. Good luck to everyone as we make it through the rest of today and tomorrow.
 
Official rejections from (non-personalized) Vanderbilt and (personalized) Edith Nourse/Bedford VA neuro tracks within 5 minutes of each other. Knew vandy was out, but I just needed the official word!

I just received a personalized rejection from Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department. This one came as a surprise, since it was a perfect fit. The selection process is so confusing!

My expected rejections are trickling in today: University of Louisville, Boston Children's, and Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital. Only 2 more to go (Oregon HSU & Mailman) before I can stop with the madness.

Has anyone requested a phone interview from Louis Stokes Cleveland VA and received a response? I have a conflict that day (only one interview day!) and I requested a phone interview a week ago, but haven't heard anything.

I'm only waiting on Jesse Brown VA!

P.S. I also haven't received a confirmation from Hines regarding my interview date!

Heard from institute of living adult track yesterday so there is probably still hope

Still waiting on Bronx VA. Haven't heard from kings but gave up hope bc they sent out invites before their application deadline.

I'm really annoyed bc Child & Adolescent in Canton was supposed to be one of my "safety" sites (whatever that means anymore anyway!), and then today they emailed me and said I was an interview "alternate." When I asked what that means, they said that if anyone decides to cancel at ANY TIME, I would need to make myself available for whatever time is open! That just seems really ridiculous considering a) the cost b) the inconvenience c) I live in Denver, CO so it's not like it's exactly next door! I definitely don't feel that wanted right now, but at the same time, I still only have 3 interviews (well I guess 3.5 now?!), so I guess if it does come open, sadly I will probably take it. *Sigh!*

I know Kings does rolling invites, so don't count yourself out! I know they are planning to do invites through mid-January so they are likely planning to make interview offers through the end of December.

I interviewed with Utah State and based on my conversation with an intern they have done multiple interviews already. They informed me that they will notify all applicants if they are going to be ranked the third or fourth week of December.
 
Well I just received a very thoughtful personalized rejection email with attachment from King's County Hospital. good luck to all!

That does seem ridiculous. I can see why you designated them as a "safety site," it sounds like your instincts were correct! "I guess 3.5 now?!" made me giggle. Sending you positive vibes that you will get interviews from the sites you are waiting on, so that you don't feel as much pressure to drop everything and go to an interview there at the last minute!
