Rejection from child track at Rush today-- generic email with a "please open the attachment to get more information about your application", and the attachment is a general rejection letter (but a reasonably nice one at that).

Psych95743286, you may want to double check your spam folder. The "passed the first cut" notification, which came a bit later in the day, was a generic email and I got the sense that it was sent out to everyone that hadn't received a rejection email. Given their approach (i.e., you are still under consideration or you are not) it seems odd that you wouldn't hear either way.

Just received a phone call to interview at Vanderbilt-VA Internship Consortium (Counseling Center placement). They offered two dates - Jan 10 and Jan 22.

I haven't heard anything from anyone yet, except one to say they would send out emails on the 30th. Been sweating it. almost everyone I know has an interview already. I'm glad to know it's not just me!

Are you referring to the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Tallahassee?
 
Just realized I replied to an interview invitation 6 days ago without reading carefully enough (I was on my phone, stupid jet age) and replied to the sender (the DCT) who explicitly said in the invite we were to respond to the admin assistant. I'm the WORST
 
That was very helpful, thank you! I called and my application was not in their database. The APPIC confirmation email lists the Portland VA as one of my successful submissions and I have received an invite from another site so I know at least one other site did receive my materials.

So that can happen. I guess it is a good idea to check with the site when in doubt!

Is it just me, or is anyone else hoping that the master list gets updated soon *just in case* one of your top choices notified by PM instead of public post?! None of my top choices are on the main list yet..... (sigh)

I haven't heard anything at all from 20 sites. Just hang in there, the news will come sooner or later.

Wow. That's pretty stressful. Glad you checked with them and it's a good lesson for all of us.

Has anyone gotten an invite from the UC Irvine counseling center? I saw a post on here about a rejection from them, but nothing about invites. It's one of my top sites, so I'm on pins and needles!

They have a really late notification day. I think it's January 9th or something like that. I'm guessing they might have gone through a preliminary round where they cut some applicants at the beginning of their review process. I will let you know if I hear anything...
 
Interview invite for University of Rochester - Child and Adolescent track - generic email
 
Generic email interview invitation from University of Rochester Medical Center (Adult track). Interview dates are 12/18, 1/7, 1/17, and 1/22.
 
Over 20 applications: 2 confirmation emails and 1 match number request which led to pleasant holiday wish exchanges with the DCT. That is all. 😡

I am going to try and fill time with lots of comedies and meeting my January defense timeline. Keyword is TRY. Multitasking is the way of life so it'll be tough.




*My school makes you go through several steps before you are "allowed" to purchase your match number (sigh) Luckily I received permission a few days prior to the email but hadn't pulled the trigger on my bank account. :laugh:
 
Has anyone heard from MEDVAMC? I saw someone said Houston VA but was unsure of they were referring to the same site. Also, any word from UCSD/VA?

MEDVAMC I believe is the only VA in the Houston area (other than CBOCs), so my guess would be that's the site they'd heard from.
 
Has anyone been placed on a wait list? I was placed on a wait list of sorts last night via email, and am just curious if others have experienced this. Thanks.
 
I see many of the Nebraska Consortium sites listed in the rejections list, but nothing about the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI). Has anyone out there heard from them yet?

Also, I think it's funny that there are over 50 of us just "viewing" this thread.... *refresh* *refresh* LOL. This waiting is awful.

Yes very little dissertation is getting written as I keep refreshing this page. None of my remaining sites have rejected nor invited yet, so I'm still holding out hope.

I was placed on the wait list at Medical College of Georgia.

Yes! I am attempting to grade my student's research papers, and every time I finish reading a paragraph I check my email, and refresh this forum. It's out of control.

My sites have also pretty much stayed off the list - I haven't heard anything from NE Florida State Hospital, which has already sent at least one round of rejections, so I'm hopeful about that. So far: 1 invite, 14 left to hear from!
 
I thought there would be a little more action in this thread yesterday with everyone returning to work after the holiday. Here's hoping for some good news today for all of us :luck:

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I haven't received an interview invitation or rejection. I wonder why the rejection would come so much later than the interview offer?

I got a rejection last week from the Monroe-Meyer rotation

It was MEDVAMC, but don't lose hope--I don't know if they do all of their notifications at once or have rolling reviews, so others who applied could still be in the running.
 
Seems like the counseling centers are taking a little longer than the other sites. Good luck everyone!

i have only heard from 1 VA (most of my sites are VA's). most of the faculty for internship programs has f/t clinical/admin/rsh and then doing internship is an added thing they aren't paid for. i think when they have time to do it can vary so widely and the amount of flexibility sites give faculty during this time can vary, it's really hard to tell
