Has anyone been receiving invitations or rejections over the weekend? I've only heard back from a couple of places so far and am wondering if I can stop obsessing over my email for 2 days.

Should I count myself out if I have not heard from them today? Do you think I should contact them to ask since today is the final date of notification? 🙁

Also, does anyone have a sense of whether the Minneapolis VA is done with invitations? I noticed that they have both invited people and rejected people already. Anyone else waiting to hear from them?
 
I also got an invite to Alabama VA today 🙂 I am too nervous to contact Bay Pines..would wait until Monday. 🙂
 
Interview invite, personalized email, for Vanderbilt Medical Center, child track. Interview dates available are Monday Dec 17th, Wednesday Jan 9th, and Jan 14th and 16th. :laugh:

I just sent an email to Bay Pines - I will let people know if/when I am notified.

I have not had weekend, but i have had evening (like 8 pm)

I applied to the Connecticut VA too but no word yet. Do you remember when you submitted your application? Was 1/3/12 listed as your first choice? I unfortunately listed that date as my 1st choice too (now December would be better), so if I get an interview there I have no idea how I'll get from there to Minneapolis the next day. But perhaps I haven't heard from them b/c of a rejection, which wouldn't be so bad at this point.

I have not heard anything yet. Hopefully soon! I'm up to 5 rejections and 0 interviews, so I'd really like to hear some good news. Also, I haven't heard from the Central Western Mass VA yet, on APPIC it says they notify tomorrow.

i applied 11/9--i hope that helps!

Same deal-that was my 1st choice but now december would be better as well. i will be flying out right after to an interview on the 4th. i am flying out of the new haven airport directly to the midwest (but not to Mini), that evening. this process is wild! i already have one site i simply can't go to because of scheduling, and they won't do skype/phone 🙁

Congrats! I had given up hope on Vandy. So glad you got an interview! I don't feel good about my chances though, but happy for you!

I also haven't heard either way from Bay Pines, Minneapolis, or South Texas. I'm assuming rejection at this point, but it would be nice if they'd confirm it.

I received notice of an interview by email at the South Texas VA on Nov. 20.

Yes, I know that all three of those sites have already sent out invites. However, they have also apparently sent out some rejections as well. So it is weird that there are several of us who have not heard either way from those sites.
 
I think I will write them on Monday.
 
Rejection for Edmonton Clinical Psychology Consortium - mass email 11/30
 
Interview invite from Jacobi Medical Center, generic, probably mass e-mail, an attachment with a Word Document addressed "Dear Applicant." Interview date is January 3rd, with a choice 9am - 12pm or 1:30pm to 4:30pm time slot. E-mail also states that if you also applied to North Central Bronx Hospital, you'll get a separate letter from them.

Here we are staring at December 1st and I have only received one notification (rejection) out of 24 applications sent. The list seems pretty long for invites, but I am still holding onto hope. If you are complaining about too many interviews, then I do not feel sorry for you because I wish I had that problem right now! haha =) Just kidding, I really am happy that you all are doing so well. Wish me luck in the weeks ahead, please! Third time applying is a...charm???

I'm also waiting to hear from them. For some reason, I'm doubtful we will get an email on a saturday from a VA . VA are notorious protective of their off hours (M-F 7:30-4:30). I've been working at a VA for the past three years and I often get scolded for staying until 6 pm. I have never heard of my boss coming in on weekend. But hey, you never know, maybe someone will send them from home

Missed a call from TD of La Rabida today, inviting me to interview - so crazy excited for that place! 😀 She did not leave date options on the phone message, and when I called back, it was already after 5pm their time 🙁 I can't believe I missed it!!! I want to schedule my interviews in geographic clusters so I'm hoping I don't miss out on the good dates...

So far 3 invites, 0 rejections, & 17 still waiting to hear from.

Also - this is my second year in the process - & so just as an fyi to everyone scared that they haven't heard much yet, last year I heard my first notification on 11/30, then nothing until 12/5, 12/7-9, 12/12, 12/15, and even 2 late ones on 12/17....most of my invites came around the 15th - SO KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE...and no, I don't think they usually come on weekends, so that 's a good point about not obsessing over the refresh button on those days.

Have a great and notification-filled week everyone!!!

(Oh PS - the extended time b/w ranking & match day is not due to the computer process - that is done in less then 3 days - it's the team that has to go through each result for over 4,000 applicants to make sure that the outcome was the best possible match...its uber frustrating, but at least you get a couple weeks to attend to other stuff!, like dissertation lol)
 
Just received an invite to Pacific Clinics in Monrovia, CA, adult track. Generic "dear applicant" email. Interview dates are Jan. 15, 16 or 17.

Received generic email invitation to the Asian Pacific Family Center rotation within Pacific Clinics in CA. Interviews will be held on 1/4 or 1/23.

Still haven't heard from Texas but after a rejection (at 9) from Bay Pines, I'm counting them out :-(
 
Hi, everyone!
Congrats on all of those interviews, as of thus far!
I have a silly (and somewhat frantic) question.
I am attempting to apply to my final site, the Sullivan Center for Children (Fresno, CA) and sadly when I went to designate them and send off my application, they are nowhere to be found.
I attempted to search by site number and name, but I was not able to find them to send off my application.
Nowhere in their training manual, member profile or website do they state that they are not an internship site for the coming year.
Did anyone else find them and apply?
Did I miss a memo, somewhere?
