Do counseling centers generally wait longer to let applicants know than other types of sites? Of course the main type of site I apply to is the slowest in replying 😛

I have 7 interviews right now with 4 rejections, and waiting on 9 more sites (likely 2 sites are rejections since they've sent out interview notifications; UNC and Mailman).
FYI this is my second time applying. My application isn't the weak point, I don't have great interviewing skills and have been working on it pretty much everyday. I ask myself the questions while in my car or showering and then try to answer it. I ramble a lot, even with question I'm coming up with myself, hah!
I have a list of the most common questions asked last year a professor gave me...I can send it to you if you think it will help
Alaska's deadline was JUST 12/1, give them some time!
Got rejected here as well. Wonder how many applications they got this year because this was my "safety" site. Only hurt because it was my first counseling center reply. Got a VA interview but waiting to hear from 12 more counseling centers... Trying not to get discouraged!
Phone Invite this afternoon for UCSF Child and Adolescent Service (CAS). Interviews in January.
Texas Tech was also a site that I thought I'd be more likely to get an invitation to, a "safety". Unfortunately, their rejection marked my 7th. 😕
2 rejections waiting on 14 pending....I'm losing hope, it's my second year applying. Any advice?

No interviews yet. I still have seven to hear from, so I haven't lost hope yet. 🙂 Just getting a little nervous.Have you gotten any interviews? There is still time, hope you get some good news soon!
personalized email invite, adult track
I'm curious if anyone has received an interview by the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. I saw that earlier today someone received a rejection from them, but I haven't read any acceptance posts. I haven't heard either way, and their deadline is Dec. 3rd.
Thanks!
General email rejection from the Dayton VA today
It's happened in years past with various sites. My guess is that (and I don't say this in a mean-spirited way at all) your application didn't make their initial "cut" for an invite, but you were still competitive enough that they'd be ok with the idea of having you match there sans interview. So in a word, yes--it sounds like they're asking you to rank them (if you so choose) based on what you can learn about them through the brochure.
I have a question on traveling - the one thing I know nothing about is car rentals. Does anyone have any thoughts on the most dependable and reasonable car rental companies? I have tried Hertz before and Dollar. I actually got more car for my money with Dollar but that's been a while ago. Thanks for any thoughts!

Those receiving notification from Dayton VA: Mind sharing which track you applied to?
Haha, yeah ... but you know how dreadful this waiting game is.
They're all pretty dependable and reliable and have similar policies. I just compare the price of the different companies and go with the one that's cheapest. Remember to look at your credit card perks, most offer some insurance for rental cars, though not the full coverage. It will save you a couple of bucks on your rental. Personally, I like Enterprise the best, but they're not usually the cheapest.
I would actually strongly recommend against Enterprise. Although I had had good experiences with them previously, the last time I rented from them, they accused me of making a scratch on their car I am positive I did not do and billed me $500. I had not bought their supplemental insurance and did not want it to go through my personal insurance because I did not want my rates to go up. I learned the hard way that the form you fill out at the beginning with x's to indicate pre-existing scratch marks, ends up being extremely unreliable when you're trying to argue your way out of this kind of accusation. I ended up having to get a lawyer to get me out of this situation. I will never again rent from Enterprise and will be sure to actually take pictures of the rental car from all angles at the time I pick it up in addition to filling out the form.
Enterprise has always been good for me. They are also mid-priced in my experience. My other two cents on the subject: I think it's worth getting a bit larger car if you have to go far. I'm not as fatigued in a full size/standard vs compact.
Avis is one of the more expensive but has great service, if that is a worry.
What city did that happen in?

I always order the smallest car and often get bumped for free to the compact or mid-size! 🙂
