I'm waiting on 11 sites. Cruel evil hazing punishment!! Seriously, if I dont hear from a site after Saturday....is it over? This is so lame!


PS--am I the only one that cant see the updated master list? Is nyprincess on vacation or did she repost somewhere and I missed the memo?😕
 
I am only waiting on one site (and pretty sure it's a rejection since they sent out invites a long time ago), and would not likely be able to book travel there at this point. Why am I still checking this listserv? I should move on and, at least if I am being internship focused, prepare for interviews. Speaking of which, would people be willing to share good questions to ask sites? I hear that you can never have enough of them...
 
I didn't apply to Napa State, but I'll climb in the boat with the amazing peeps who were somehow rejected! Each of you guys seems so qualified (from what I read on the forum).

Received a personalized email this morning from John Hopkins University Counseling Center.

Interview date selected electronically - so efficient.

13 interviews, 5 rejections, and waiting on 7 (UCLA, CS - Northridge, UI - Chicago, NIU, U. of Washington, Kaiser - LA, Lovell VA) - guessing they are rejections.
 
Generic interview emails for San Antonio State Hospital and for the Meier Clinic.
 
big fat mass generic rejection....seriously???? they got like 2 applications last year!! well, at least they didnt call me the wrong name...like NYU and North Bronx :laugh:
 
Phone call invitation to JLG-RICA in Rockville, MD. Offered a bunch of dates in January. I can't remember all of them but I am going on 1/15.
 
Anyone heard anything recently from UNDNJ Newark Child Track? Saw a notification awhile ago for an early interview date, but nothing else.

I definitely would be, but i think a lot of the good questions I have come from reading through the program descriptions again.

Invitation to Cleveland VA. Is anyone one on here interviewing there for the health psych track? 8 more places to hear from.

Crossing my fingers this madness ends today and we all know where we are going so we can start trying to put together flights and transportation!
 
I guess the advice of not to worry as many sites wait til the last day is good advice. Still waiting on 6 more and no one on here has mentioned those sites. Stay positive!

If you check UCLA's website they state they will notify of invitations on December 14 and notify rejects on December 17. Maybe they made a typo on APPIC. I fully expect to hear from them on Monday; given my other rejections, I don't have a snowball's chance there.

I'm still waiting to hear from them... assuming it's a rejection, but I guess you know know until you get the official word 🙂
 
Also got a phone invite to JLG-RICA. Very excited!! My interview day in Jan 9!

Don't sell yourself short! I got rejected from a not very competitive small name school in Texas and invites from some very competitive big name schools. You never really know and can't base your chances at one site off another 🙂
 
Interview at Bronx VA. They will call this week to schedule. Open house 1/7.
 
Personalized rejection from LSU. Now down to 3 left to hear back from. 6 interviews and 6 rejections so far.

Thanks for the info! It's so hard to know what some of these sites are looking for. UCC's seem to be particularly fickle. I will be sending you positive vibes!!!

The dates are January 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, & 22.
 
I received an email invite (generic but with my name on it) to Didi Hirsch. I applied for the adult track. Open House offered on Monday 1/7 and 1/14 in the morning. Interviews are scheduled separately.
 
Just got an invitation to interview at Bronx VA. No dates given yet-- they will be calling in the future to set something up.

Will be receiving an email in the next week to set up an interview
 
Holly Molly! VERY personalized phone invite to interview for the Health Psychology track ...peppered with compliments about my experience and letters of recommendation...still in disbelief! I am NOT from this area at all and had no connections...Dates offered were Jan 9th, Jan 14th and Jan 16th. Had written this off because of the invites earlier this week, but as we all know - it's not a NO until they reject you!

I'm at 8 interviews, 9 rejections, 3 left to hear!

Wow! That's great! It must have been so nice to hear those things. Sounds like a great place, if they took the time to call you and compliment you like that. Good luck with interviews!

Thank you! I really didn't know what to expect from this site. All I knew when I applied is that it looks so amazing that I would be willing to move there...which says a lot because I'm a very "coastal" person. But I just spoke with somebody yesterday who went there for undergrad and they told me how beautiful Madison is. Can anyone offer some more insight about life in Madison or the program/university itself??

I have family in Madison and am interviewing at the Wisconsin DOC (so, obviously considering moving there myself)! It is a very liberal place. Lots of social advocacy, lots of politics, lots of things like fair trade shops and farmers markets. The lakes are beautiful, and people tend to be healthier than other places I've lived (e.g., North Carolina) - I am always shocked by the number of people who bike or walk to work. I do some research in Mindfulness, so that is the only university-related stuff I know about (Davidson's lab is there, he's a big name in that field). Great beer, good cheese. Hope that helps!
 
Has anyone received rejections from Didi Hirsch (Child track) or Morrison Child and Family Services? It seems like invites for both sites have already gone out.

I'm also waiting on Morrison. I'm trying not to think negatively but it seems as if the invites went out a long time ago.
 
Personalized email rejection. Finally. they had two dates where they sent out invites and waited til the last day to reject me!
 
Just got a generic invitation email from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis!! The email said they would be contacting interviewees by phone as well. No interview dates listed.
