PNWU sent me an e-mail to apply. I asked what my chances were and they said very good (and one of the reasons was because I was from the region... and I'm from Californiaaaaa).
Could I trade places, I'm from Hawaii and got flat out rejected.

Have an II from one DO school on the east coast and my state MD school. Not much anywhere else.
What are your stats and list of schools you applied to if you don't mind me asking?
DO schools vary quite widely in terms of admission standards and preferences. This is why it is important to apply broadly, particularly if you are on the lower end of competitive. It's gotta be the mix of your MCAT score and choice of schools you applied to. VCOM and ACOM are the only two where you're not a big underdog (stats-wise), but they may have a regional bias. Why didn't you apply to ATSU-SOMA or PNWU?
No secondaries received - LUCOM, VCOM - Auburn
Rejection Pre-secondary - TUNCOM
Pre-interview Hold - LMU-DCOM
Didn't complete secondary - DMU
Still waiting for decision - CCOM, UNECOM, KCOM, LECOM-E, LMU SMP
Verifying - 3 Pod schools - KSUCPM, TUSPM, DMU
No, they didn't tell me anything, but it's obviously the GPA. I got denied the appeal from AACOMAS regarding cell bio retake, so that knocks my GPA down 0.03c/0.07s. PB is 17 cr. I spent 3x the $ to take the upper level retakes at a University. Had I known they were gonna deny the retake for 1, I could have taken so many more CC classes.Sorry to read about that man. Did any schools reach out and say what you need to work on? Other than possibly the low GPAs (no offense)... the MCAT is pretty solid and looks like you didn't apply to too many reaches. Plus, that post-bacc GPA should count? Are those GPAs with grade replacement? How many units did you complete in post-bacc?
Congrats. Is that after you contacted them?1) Click "Reply" on the most recent underdog list.

There's no way ACOM can be that picky.Okay I am sure I applied earlier than he/she did. ACOM stated that they are putting people on hold with an MCAT of below 26. They even said to me on the phone they won't be looking at those applicants until February. I am trying to register what is going on here...
None the less, I am happy for the guy/gal.
There's no way ACOM can be that picky.
I got put on hold at ACOM too with a 25.
it is not uncommon for schools to reject, even following an interview, for borderline stats. Although this isn't to say that your interviewing couldn't also be at fault. Can anyone comment on my chances. 3.19cGPA/ 3.10sGPA/ 27 (10/7/10) & 28 (8/10/10) MCAT), lots of extra curricular, shadowing, clinical and bench research. Good LOR. Interviewed at Touro-NY and LECOM-Erie. Both rejected. Still have 15 schools to hear back from regarding interviews or not
your lack of interviews is utterly baffling. I suggest contacting schools to see what is going on.I applied to almost all of the DO schools, about 25 schools NOT including AT Still Kirks, Alabama, Arizona midwestern, de moines, marian, michigan state, university of pikeville, Rowan, Ohio and rocky vista. Rejected pre secondary from Kansas City, rejected post secondary from Campbell (said to get GPA above 3.2 and reapply), AT Still Arizona, Midwestern Chicago, PNWU and Touro NV. Pre interview hold at WesternU Pomona, west virginia, LMU debusk and LECOM Bradenton. No response from VCOM all three. Primary complete late July, all secondaries done by end of september. added liberty, UNECOM, Campbell and William Carey in early December after not hearing back from too many schools. Liberty and UNECOM secondaries done within 1 week of of seconadry reciept. No communication from William Carey. Primary application updated this week to include biochem (A) I took over the fall.
My stats are similar to yours and I haven't received an interview invite yet. 3.08cGPA/2.89sGPA/23 (6 PS, 11 BS, 6 V) & 30 (12 PS, 10 BS, 8 V). I suspect, as does many others, that my sGPA is what is killing me. I've applied to Nova, LECOM-Bradenton, CCOM, LECOM-Erie, PCOM (Philly and Georgia), and Rowan. I was rejected pre-interview by LECOM-Bradenton, CCOM, and Nova. Keeing my fingers crossed, but losing hope. :/Can anyone comment on my chances. 3.19cGPA/ 3.10sGPA/ 27 (10/7/10) & 28 (8/10/10) MCAT), lots of extra curricular, shadowing, clinical and bench research. Something to keep in mind for next cycle I suppose. Would you say 20 is a more reasonable number?applying to only 7 schools with a 2.89 science GPA was not a sound strategy.

Retake the MCAT even with a score of 30? There is no way I could score that high again.Haven't looked thru this, but I was a major underdawg last year. Message me if you are waitlisted and/or waiting to get an invite and I can give you some solid advice on what to do next. If you are rejected by too many schools I would recommend doing a masters/take mcat again.

Lol sorry it wasn't directed at you, just in general for whoever wanted the input/advice!Retake the MCAT even with a score of 30? There is no way I could score that high again.

I'm in a similar situation. I have a misdemeanor disturbing the peace charge on the record which i disclosed on all secondaries I hope this doesn't come back to bite me. I also retook the mcat on DEC 6th and my new scores were just released on Jan 6th. I'm hoping this is the reason I have yet to receive a single ii. sGPA 3.29 cGPA 3.35 MCAT 25 URM
my school list is very similar to yours.
That is most likely the reason. I have very similar stats to yours and have 2 ii currently. However, being an underdog in both GPA and MCAT departments does hurt as well.

Thanks for the opinion! Kept my stats in because of what you said below.^^not an underdog. MCAT pulls you out of that classification.
