I feel like all the questions I had were very straight forward - even ones that pertained to treatment planning - however, I know friends that did have some very strange questions

I have few questions regarding Pedo residency application
1. Am I too late to apply for this coming year
2. I graduated 7 years ago and have been in private practice since then. Do the schools look down on that
3. What kind of paper work i need
4. It is going to be very hard to get letter of recommendation from school professors, so can i just get LOR from dentists here in my city.
I appreciate your help regarding these....
 
Those that applied to Tufts: how long did it take for you to hear back about the web portal to pay the application fee?

1. Yes, I think that it may be too late to apply. The latest deadlines are Oct 1 and 15th...but some schools have extra information that needs to be sent in ....but if you wanted to apply to some of those schools...technically sure I suppose it's possible
2. I don't think that schools will look down on you having experience...I think that its favorable that you are experienced :)
3. For the most part - for the PASS application - you'll need to submit LORs, letter from the dean of the dental school (called institutional evaluation), official dental school transcripts...and then some school require Boards exams, CV, photos, undergraduate transcripts etc
4.No sure about this

no, that's just the first day. people will turn down interviews due to conflicts and they will fill those spots with other applicants. this thread is to give people options on which interviews to accept to keep their schedules free in case their number one school calls for an interview...or at least that's how i see it.
 
How much time do they usually allow for you to decide whether to attend the interview?
 
for those that got interviews, did you guys register for Match before getting the intervew? I haven't registered for Match yet and I'm wondering if it will hold me back from getting an interview. I don't want to "waste" 90 dollars if I don't get an interview. :confused:

If I remember correctly from last years threads, buffalo interviews over +60applicants...quite a bit.

I think it depends on the schools...some schools (ie Bon Secours...has an Oct 1 deadline so hopefully more to come).

I wouldn't count on hearing from the LMC programs (unless they have a cancellation)....but I think there's still hope from some programs (or at least I'm going to hope so!)

they interview 60 and rank 20.. 1/3 ratio, different than a lot of other schools. buffalo's program is great.

Colorado, Kentucky, Louisville,MUSC, VCU
